Then you might want to reconsider the dining plan. Even with “free” dining, if you’re left with “so many credits,” you’d probably be better off paying as you go.

You've asked about ordering an app in place of an entree on other threads. At the Disney owned restaurants (like Sanaa) they might be willing because they're not constrained by the reimbursement rules that affect the third party restaurants. You will have to ask at every restaurant and even if someone else was successful it is not a guarantee that you will be because Disney might change the rules for their restaurants or the manager on duty that evening might not allow it.

If a restaurant will not let you order an app instead of an entree, perhaps your parents can order the app as part of their DxDDP credit when you are dining together and ask that it be served at the same time as the entrees. In turn, you can use your credit to order an extra entree for your parents to make up for the app.

Or accept your parents generous offer of the DxDDP so you can order apps.

You've been participating in other threads just fine. I'm not sure why another poster referred to you like a child when your signature says you are 41. I guess you sound young when you type. They must know something from another thread or your removed original question.

People on the Dis tell me all the time to "stuff it." Grain of salt, grain of salt. You can't please everyone. Your posts indicate you've not posted many times, so some grace can be shown while your learning to spread your wings and fly. While it doesn't happen everyday, some days its a on the Dis. You can try posting your question in a similar thread, even it it goes a bit off track from what was originally posted. Here is where you'll find people similarly interested in that topic. No worries.

I’d be surprised if anyone has actually told you to “stuff it.” As with all written comminication, there can be a lot of interpretation on the receiving end that was not intended by the author. It’s always best to assume someone is trying to help you. Even if their words can be interpreted as condescending, it’s unlikely that how they meant it.

Uh, yeah! But that is why it's in quotes, for whatever terms they used when they said it. I've had other posters PM me to apologize for the behavior of other posters toward me and to encourage me to keep posting, as we are encouraging this OP to do. Who knows, maybe this OP will be the next to encourage someone else to keep posting.
