On all ears net there's a list of programs going on at Odyssey and the Festival Center. Odyssey is the long building if you're going toward the Land side of Epcot right??? It usually has a display in a long hallway like area??? We also attended a small lecture in this building during the Flower and Garden show. Am I thinking of the right one???

If I'm right about where is the Festival Center, apparently this contains Estate Hall and Vineyard Hall where there are lectures/programs to attend. Can anyone shed any light on my confusion. I'm also thinking that these are just "walk in" and enjoy programs and require no "sign up", as you have to do for the larger Festival "Events".

Have you read all the information here on the Dis about the Food and Wine Festival? It can be found here: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/guides/epcot/events/index.htm#hm-FW

About which building is which.. I am now confused and I was there not too along ago.. I thought Odyssey building was the building where you can cut through on the Test Track side and it is a shortcut to the countries, sort of....by the flamingos...

We did not attend any of the programs, other than Party for the Senses, which we paid for, but the Festival Center did have both halls if I remember correctly...not sure if they are walk up and join though.. maybe the information I linked from the Dis will help clear up this confusion. There are plenty of people working to ask questions to though and they will point you in the right direction.

The Festival Center is the second building on your right after you pass the sphere (the last one before entering the World Showcase on the right). The Odyssey Building is on the left hand side in the World Showcase in between Test Track and Mexico. You can get to Odyssey by taking the path towards Mission Space, pass Test Track and keep going if you come to Mexico...you passed the Odyssey building! Hope this helps!

Odyssey is the home to the Cooking Classes that have to be reserved and paid for in advance. The seminars being held in the Festival Center are free, no advance sign up, but I advise you to get there very early in order to get in to any of the free seminars.

Thank you SO much. Those two buildings were my two choices in my little head and I obviously had them switched. We attended a lecture on Attracting Birds to Your Yard, and that was in the Festival Center I guess. I have never attended anything in the Odyssey building before, but since we are attending 3 Special Events, I guess we'll do something new for a change. Have only walked by and used the bathroom. Now I know what they are both called.

That's what's so neat about Disney. No matter how much you've done, there's always more to do!!! Can you imagine going there, looking around, at all times of the year and saying, Geeesh, I've done it ALL!!! I personally think you "discover" the neater things once you "move on" from the rides. Not to say you still don't do them, but the other stuff adds a touch of adventure and richness to the vacation. And it's truly then that you just realize the enormity of the whole daily 265 days/year production. It's TRULY amazing. Now I'm getting all Disney sentimental. Less than TWO weeks to go!!! :goodvibes

Slightly :offtopic: , but I have to voice my agreement! Every trip to WDW is different for us, whether it be trying out a new resort, a new "attraction" that's been refurbished, a new experience (DDP), or discovering a tucked-away place that has eluded us. This is the WDW magic! ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

OMG Grammy, I took a glance, saw the sign and thought NOW what did I say wrong :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: . Thank you for agreeing!!! When our kids were little we went to WDW four times over their growing up years. Since my baby left for college in 2003, DH and myself and sometimes we gather a couple tag alongs, have been there 7 times including this months visit, in less than THREE years.

I always say, Disney with kids is new, treasured, memorable, exciting and fun. BUT Disney post kids is FANTASTIC. It's post kids that I think you REALLY are able to stop and smell the roses, go beyond the im-mature complaints (that we so frequently see on the other boards), and see what Disney is really all about. It's SO much more than the rides and frenzied hustle and bustle. I'm always in AWE of the show Walt puts on every day for us!!!
