I made my first pass through the F&W festival this evening.

I agree with most of the comments already posted

The lobster roll is OK, not great.
The sausage in Germany is dead on.
The lamb slider is too dry.
The lamb chop is amazing (Really Amazing).
The Lobster & Scallop stew in Ireland is also top notch.

What set me off this evening though was the Guinness they served in Ireland.
Basically it was dumped into a glass and handed to me.
It was not settled and by the time it settled it had about a three inch head.
I said something to the "barman" and he looked at me like was was daft.
At $6 for a Guinness this is ridiculous.
If you want turnover it is simple do not serve Guinness, serve Harp.
Do not put someone in a cart representing Ireland that has no clue about Guinness.
Enough Americans know what to expect from a good Guinness.
Even worse they know how to serve Guinness 20 feet away at the Rose and Crown, an ENGLISH bar.

If this was the only issue then I might be fine but then with it (not really).
Next I went over to the Brewers Collection and ordered two beers.
A Pilsner Urquell and a Kona Fire Rock Pale Ale.
First they tried to give me Grolsh instead of Pilsner Urquell. I'm not sure why.
Then I taste the two beers. They were luke warm.
Now I know they shouldn't be served ice cold, but they should be cool.
It is 90+ degrees out. This is a Food and Wine (also Beer!!!) festival.
If you are going to charge exorbitant prices then at least have people who know how to serve it correctly.

End of Rant.

What are your experiences with the beers at the F&W festival?
Are the other carts better?
At these prices and quality I think I will be sticking to the tequila at La Cava del Tequila.
It is MUCH better value for money.

My experience was not with beer, but it is similar.

Last week, we got escargo and creme brulee from France and both had suffered a great deal from either the heat or sitting too long.

If they are going to charge those prices, they should take more care in the quality of the food.

My beer rant: with all of the amazing microbreweries in America, why on earth don't they do an American Microbrew Adventure in the American pavillion?? They are so missing the mark there by just featuring Sam Adams. That doesn't come close to representing what's available out there. Although if they did do something like that, I'd likely never leave the American pavillion!

supposedly, Disney charges something outrageous, like $300K, for wineries, etc to appear at the F&WF; microbreweries probably couldn't afford that price tag is my guess

1) Because Sam Adams is a paying sponsor.
2) Why put in a microbrewery that doesn't pay the high sponsor fees.
3) Plus, Sam Adams gives the beer to Disney.
4) Here endth the cash lesson for the day. :)

Would love for it to change, but don't think it will. Disneyland has a microbrewery, not a great one, but at least a try.

Although, if the Tequila Bar does well, who knows. Also think a brewpub in the american pavilion would be killer instead of the fast food joint.

Hi all, I will be lucky enough to be at F & W for the last day. But I am a plain old watered down beer girl...Mich ultra, coorlight. Is this found anywhere at Epcot or anywhere in the world for that matter. Thanks.

I was at WDW from Oct 3 - 7 and spent lots of time (and drank many beers) at the FWF. It was very hot during all of these days (90+ high every day).

I did not have a problem with lukewarm beers. Every beer I had was quite cold when it was initially served to me (although, they did tend to warm up quickly in that heat). I did have this issue at the champagne booth; the champagne was not as cold as I would have liked when it was served.

Oh, and I thought the lobster roll was fantastic!

When in England ask for a bitter top or a shandy made with Bass.

DHS- has selection of light beers at Prime Time Bar

AK- has selection of light beers, but try some Tusker orFar East beers available at Yak & Yeti, they are very light

LOL, this is what we have been emailing disney about for years. With all the great beers in the USA why doesn't disney bring them onboard. Could you imagine the great beer dinners/luncheons/cocktail partys they could have and charge for with some wonderful themeing. (halloween beers/wines and fall beers/wines, holiday beers/wines, especially the belgians). Makes me sick to think about the lack of respect beer gets at disney!

I went by the beer hop in the evening, and the beers were cool, but not cold. But since I got used to beer at that temperature, so it didn't bother me much.
