So dh and I are going on our first DL visit in October. We are thinking of doing this pkg for the 10:30 F! showing. We want to see the fireworks at 8:40pm too. Can one of us check in at 8pm for the party while the other holds a fw spot or do we both have to go? How should we do this to do both? We don't have to do the pkg but we want to guarantee a good view for f! since this is our first chance to see it anywhere...

Most people will do the F! dessert during the first show at 9pm. After F!, they allow you to remain in those seats for the 9:30 FW.

Only one person in your party will need to check in at 8:00. I would suggest being a little earlier than 8 though if you are hoping for the front row - the line tends to form early.

Only one needs to go, but needs to have all the tickets.

Fwiw, we got to the F! area at 10 for the 10:30 show and had our pick of the sitting section. There was still plenty of room when the show started. We chose to sit near the back and saw perfectly. The dessert people were right behind us with a pretty much identical view, only ours didnt cost 60 bucks. I would think to get a better value, the 9:00 dessert package would be better. Just my 2 cents.

Most people who do not care about a good view of the fireworks show. For those who do it is better to see the late F! show. But if you are doing that the dessert is not worth it.

In any case, the answer to the OPs question is "yes". A person can hold fireworks spots while another gets F! seat selection. usually fireworks are not til 9:30 anyways and you do not need to get to the hub or Main Street until 30-45 minutes early. At most.

In Oct, the fireworks are on the off season schedule and sadly do start at 8:40pm. They used to be after F!, but now they are before. But, if you do the first seating for F!, you can come in early and watch the fireworks from those seats with your drink and desert. :) We did that last year and will again this year.
