FACT:
Yep. Its true. I was there Friday and the lady at the Epcot baggage inspection informed the man standing right beside me that Walt Disney World is a FAMILY PARK, and that the F.C.U.K. shirts are definately not allowed inside the park. He was told that he had from baggage inspection to the nearest restroom (and he pointed to it) to either purchase another shirt, change shirts, or flip the shirt inside out. He said that they are now looking for these particular shirts, and that if anyone is seen inside the park wearing one of these shirts that they will be asked to leave the park.

Opinion:
I told another associate later that I supported their decision. The bottom line is that though it is an acronym for whatever company of UK, it is still very clear what their goal is. Sales by controversy. The advertising campaign is centered around sexual innuendos and its very clearly a play on the popular 4 letter word. Ive seen the commercials. You'd either have to be just plain stupid or nieve to not see the goal here. Remember too...dads... that when guys see these shirts, they think about the real word, and then they see your wives and daughters! Is that the kind of thoughts you want people having about them? Yes there are much worse things in the parks on the backs and fronts of guests, but at least its a step in the right direction. Do yourself a favor and leave them at home.

This will be (undoubtedly) flamed, so I'm not going to check this one again. But if you dont believe me... 1-407-W-Disney. Call them for yourself! Just remember, not all the ones who answer the phones are up to date on everything. According to the lady we spoke to, this took effect right after the last hurricane.

I'm not one for censorship, but this ad campaign by French Connection is so childish and stupid I can't believe that it's lasted so long.

Why have the public not got fed up of it? It is not cool and it is not clever.

A FC** free-zone in the confines of Disney sounds good to me. I hope I'm there when one of these people are being asked to remove their t-shirt. I'll laugh and laugh.

Yes! About time. Well played WDW :) I hate those slogans with a passion.

Quite right, people wear these shirts thinking their cool but in fact their idiots,Its a discusting word and one I never use so Im all for it this shirt banning exercise

the general rule is nothing new - I can remember a security guard at Disney Quest asking my ex husband (very nicely!) to turn his punk t-shirt inside out 'cos it had a (very small!) rude word on it - and that was years back - 1999 or 2000 I think.

You guys really need to take a look at yourselves. We live in a free society where we pride ourselves on being able to speak freely.
Get a life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get a life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got a very good one - thanks! Just don't particularly like the F word and especially it's unecessary overuse these days.

Even being able to speak freely does not mean lowering moral standards!

Good for WDW - there is simply no need for this sort of laguage.

Yes we do live in a free society - but do you have a 6 year old DD who asked 'What does **** mean mummy?' when reading it on a t-shirt? And she pronounced the expletive BTW.

I can't avoid it in the high street etc - but I don't want to see it in Disney. JMHO.

This is why we love Disney so much, because its a FAMILY place....:cheer2:...and no, I'm not a prude, just don't think its necessary to wear tops like that!

Elaine

Good move by Disney.

Being completly honest, I have nothing against the tops in question and I think my DW actually has one.

But I still think it's the right thing to do in such a family environment, and I wouldn't want to try and explain it to a mis-pronoucing son, daughter, neice etc.

Well Done Mickey and the Gang!

Vizeman, what planet do you come from. I am not against free speech but I am dead against doing someone elses ''dirty' advertising for them. Why should families of innocent children be subjected to such downright blantant disgusting advertising.

My kids are grown up now but I do have a 10 month old grand daughter who one day will be taken to see the mouse.

I want to take her to a place that children can be happy in without wanting to know what slogans mean on a tee-shirt.

More power to Disney. I thought some of their standards were beginning to drop a bit but on this issue that get my vote and hopefully the majority of decent living people as well who have spent their hardearned money on being somewhere that is as priceless as my little grand daughter

I believe completely in free speech, but the park is private property and if they want to deem certain clothing innapropriate, that is their prerogative. I understand their logic and agree.

I don't agree or disagree with it, but at the end of the day it is just a t shirt.
