Anybody used them for glasses, or any other online eyeglass retailer that you'd recommend?

I have used eyebuydirect. I was satisfied, but I will admit that I don't often wear my glasses. I wear my contacts at least 90% of the time. I can't say if I would order my glasses online if I wore them all the time. No particular reason, just piece of mind.

I like the glasses that I got and the service was quick and easy. So I have no complaints and the price is certainly right.

We use www.zennioptical.com and LOVE them!!!! We've ordered from them at least 6 separate times and have never had any problems with our orders, and they were, by far, the least expensive of all the places we checked. We've used them for regular glasses, no-line bifocals and high-index photochromic lenses. DH's most recent pair of no-line bifocals cost $37.90 and America's Best (which is a bargain brick and mortar eyeglass store) wanted $169 for a similar pair.

My husband got some from Warby Parker about a year ago and loves them. They will send you 5 pairs to try one at no cost and every time you buy a pair from them, they will donate a pair through 2 non-profits.

I've also used Zenni several times with absolutely no problems.

I've used Coastal.com for two pairs of glasses. It came in fast and were great. You get your first pair free but you have to pay shipping and handling.

Zenni and eyebuy are good for back up pairs. But you have to wait forever. I've used 39DollarGlasses.com and have loved them!

I got my glasses in perfect shape in a week. :cool1:

Yes, they cost a bit more and if you are getting a back up pair then zenni or eyebuy is probably a better choice. But if you need primary glasses, I'd go with 39DollarGlasses.com:smooth:

I also need glasses, even my "new" glasses are two years old. Have checked out the website you guys shared. Coastal provides free glasses… a great deal… but my prescription is not eligible for the activity. I will try Zenni Optical, their progressive glasses are the most affordable ones. :cool2:
