Eye2Eye WISH shirt proposal

Finally heard back from eye2eye (http://www.eye2eye.org). They have offered 7 background suggestions with different fonts, but have more options in both. We can also design our own. Of what they're showing so far, I think we might like something brighter, but I do like a couple of their options so far. They have more sizes available (up to 3XL) and have this to say about styles:

"We carry T-shirt, Tank tops, Sleeveless and spaghetti Straps.

T-shirts come with short or long sleeve.
Loose or tight fit (Performance)

Most come in Ladies and Men's
Sizes are comparable as you get in stores
if not sure order one or two and then judge for yourself"

Here are the backgrounds:

We haven't finalized anything with RaceReady so we can still look into this further if everyone wants to pursue it. Turnaround time is about 2 weeks once we order.

I know I am new, but I really dislike the camo looks.... I am a 47 year old woman not a warrior going off to shoot the enemy LOL!

(Matter of fact I am not in love with any of these, I like the Race Ready better!)

If I had to pick one I'd say #4. I'm not a fan of the camo or that olive green color scheme. I like the bright lime green you have had before.

If I had to pick one, I would say #2 ONLY if the blue at the top could be lime green.

I like the green in 4, the "design" of 5 (if they could keep it bright and maybe use more bright yellow and bright green than gold and black* (so as to better match the hats/visors)) and the logo/font from 3 and 7.

Bear in mind, however, that my wife usually has to "keep an eye" on me when I select the clothes and combinations thereof I plan to wear when going out in public.

I agree with Bill (stop laughing), I like the background of #4 but the font of #5. I do not like any of the camo ones unless we decide we are going to have WISH boot camp!!! I like the RaceReady shirts and/or the shirts we have now better than these proposals.

Hi. Just my 2c - I agree with the others, I like the original shirts, and even though I'm holding out to buy the original shirts, IF I had to choose, I would choose the race readys over these.

The Wish bootcamp sounds interesting

Too much flash that takes away from the point of the shirt. They have some really neat stuff on their website but I'm not so fond of what they've come up with for WISH.

Like the originals that Carrie orders but will also get a RaceReady as they are lighter and that has been my problem with the others.

They all hurt my eyes. For me, less is more and more is...well, just distracting. I generally prefer the Race Ready over these options, but I can see why we might wish to give Eye2Eye a try because of the range of sizes. (I would like a little more information on sizes than "comparable as you get in stores.") Anyway, I'll follow the crowd.

With that in mind: I'm not that fond of any of the backgrounds, as I think they detract from the WISH logo. I'd prefer a cleaner design for the background so that the WISH stands out. With that criteria, I guess #2 works best of the options, then maybe #4. Of the WISH logos, I prefer the fonts of #3/#7, as I think they're the cleanest. If they're going to use a star as part of the WISH lettering, I'm not sure why stars weren't one of the options for the background design? Then again, I'm not a designer.

Does background design #1 remind anyone else of a cucumber?

my 2cents -

I agree about the camo - and I'd sign up for a boot camp if Bill and team 5 were there!! and then proudly wear a wish boot camp shirt!! (and I think Mighty Panda would lead us, with a pilates class, and a spin class in the works!!)

I think I hear, and I know I've had to explain - the confusion with WISH and "make a wish foundation" in this I would say none of these shirts would add to that confusion!!

The one I like would be making me want a Pepsi tho.. not sure why!!

The other fact I like is the range of sizes. I still am sad that I'm too fat to fit in the pretty sizes...

Looking at most of these makes me dizzy.... and not in a good way....

DH is not a poster - but he is a WISH team memeber - -

so I mentioned this thread to him and he said that at the half marathon they saw a shirt(s) and found out about this website - so his opinion was that these designs stood out - and that it was such a good thing, that this idea was planted to order us some WISH shirts....

to see a picture vs seeing a real live example -

again, my main hooorah with this website is the fact that I can get a scoop neck woman's style in my size - that's huge to me!!

dh just liked the crazy colors!! and that they stood out..

just thought I'd share another opinon (and of course throw in mine, since I'm actually posting... )

I do know that what sets us apart as a team to me was seeing those WISH shirts from a distance - so having 3 choices, and having 20 runners (or more) wear 3 different shirts may confuse me from a distance...

and since I just want to belong - I want to order what everyone else has too - I want to fit in!! Dh on the other hand likes being a pioneer!!

I have communicated with Mel about me possibly going back to eye2eye to see if they are willing to work on a design for the team that is a little more conservative (to appease more of the masses) and a little more in keeping with the team color (the bright "safety green"). I like that: the company has a wide range of sizes (including big), various shirt styles/cuts for men and women, a tech/wicking fabric that would be lighter/cooler than the "original" shirts and I also like the idea of standing out at least a little more than just the safety green/lime color. Also, their website says they accept orders for as little as one shirt.

As I wasn't there for the marathon, can anyone give me more info about the shirts you saw and why you liked them. For example, was it just the pattern/design, were there particular pictures or logos on the shirts you liked or was it just that they were different.

**Sandy's DH** I'm all for being a pioneer and standing out a little too.

Please post any thoughts. I would plan to have the back of the shirt contain the same WISH language/mottos as the "original." If no one else is interested in me pursuing this as an additional team option, please also let me know (that way I can decide if I want to pursue something just for me without having to be too conservative ).
