I am not permanently disabled, but I am temporarily disabled. I had knee surgery that keeps me off my feet for 6 weeks.
Never gave much thought to folks parking in handicap spots before… but I have now truly had an awakening. I need the spot. I cannot walk.
I understand if the spot is taken, as others need it also.

What upsets me most, and I never realized this before, and is actually the reason for my post….

Folks that pull up to the curb to “run in” to the store. They seem to always pull up to the curb and block the ramp. My wife can’t get around the car with my wheelchair.
Their “blinkers” on (somehow they think that makes it okay to stop there).

Sorry for the rant.
I am now much more understanding of those of you that have a permanent disability.

Sometimes it takes a bit to be in your shoes to understand.

Thanks to all who have recognized my post.

That said, I have yet again to learn one more huge shout out is required…

THANK YOU to all the care givers to those who need help.
Without my wife taking care of me hand and foot, we would need a live-in nurse.

You guys are not only Florence Nightingale, you are truly Mother Theresa.

Again, never would have realized how much work this is unless I witnessed it first hand.

Thank you
