Memphis. I hate it. It's so flat and ugly. I want to move to Nashville. I LOVE Franklin. It's so gorgeous there. My best friend got married there and the leaves were changing and it was so gorgeous!!

OOh, I love Franklin too. I was there this summer and was checking out homes just for fun. LOVED it. Took a day trip over to Memphis, sorry, but didn't like it. I didn't even take time to explore Beale Street, it just didn't impress me.

Don't be sorry! I feel that way and I live here. I'm originally from Jackson, TN - which is between Memphis and Nashville and much prettier than this place.

But still not as pretty as Franklin. I look at land there online constantly for when I one day have enough money to build my dream home.

Hey! I'm in Jackson, MS about 3 1/2 hours south! My mom lived about 30 min south of there in Senatobia, MS. Jackson is like Memphis but smaller. We have the same crime rate, although I think ours is a little worse per capita. Maybe we should all meet by the river and look to see if our Captain got lost and made his way up the mighty Mississippi!

If only I could find him on the Mississippi! I live right beside it! We have people who live on the banks and everytime I see them camped out there, I think of Chocolat. But something tells me no one over there looks quite like Johnny Depp.

And yes, our crime rate here is HORRIBLE. We've been #2 in the country for the past three or four years. It's terrible here. You can't watch the news without finding out people are constantly being found dead or near dead. It's so disheartening and I"m so tired of it.

When I find Cap'n Jack on the river, I'm jumping on board his ship to get away from here!

Franklin is very nice-I'm about 20 minutes from there. Actually I'm headed there right now! Nashville is a really great city. I have friends from Memphis, and they are much happier here! So I guess I'm saying everyone should move to Nashville!!

Anyways, I haven't posted to this thread for a while. I got sick for a while but now I am back! I don't know if this has been posted because since I've been gone 300 new pages have been added and I haven't had a chance to read them all yet.

I'm not on any Yahoo groups right now. I have the Memphis LJ group on my friends list, but it's pretty quiet.

We actually went to the Zoo tonight to see the lights. It was no Osborne lights and it was cold, but it was good to get out.
