Warning....RANT Ahead!!!

I'm going to stage a mutiny at work tomorrow. I'm co-hosting a baby shower for a coworker. A few people offered to help with food and such. Well, this afternoon I get a call from the person who said she would bring the cake. She's sad to say that she's sick and won't be in tomorrow and could I get a cake on my own. Well, I could have if I had known a few days ago. So I've been running around all night looking for a decent cake that isn't childish or already say happy birthday. Finally found something acceptable at the 5th store! Now here's the kicker, she pulled the EXACT same thing last year when we had a wedding shower. But that time she didn't call anybody, we all showed up in the morning and started getting things ready, and NO CAKE! Why oh why did we let her sign up for the cake!

Sorry for ranting....but I've still got chicken wings to prepare and favors to make and it's already 10:30 pm here!

So, I came and got my Pirate fix...now back to work

But first, a few photos

And I know this doesn't fit in today's topic, but I really needed to see him smile

There is always one like that in every workplace... :sad2: I bet that shower turns out nice anyway even without She Who Refuses to Show Up With Promised Cake. We have one like that, she never "exactly" shows up with what she says for a party. When she was supposed to bring a bag of ice, she showed up with a tray of ice from her refridge... Last time she was supposed to bring potato chips (easy thing to bring). She brought in a half eaten bag of chips with a clip on it still from her cupboard.. :sad2:

And for being off topic...

Here is Mr Depp this morning..he is not dressed yet, a bit early for him... :sunny:

The Captain and I are both headed off to work now...

See ya tonight... :thumbsup2

Good morning wenches! Hope all is well. Got2Travel, I say little miss no cake should be excluded from all future work parties! Hope you were able to get some rest last night as it sounds as though searching for that cake put you behind schedule and kept you up late.

Mad, thanks for the photobucket help...I'll have to get on that after I get all these school projects turned in!

I was loving all those links you wenches found, and I browsed the other pins of Johnny. This one made me laugh, it seems someone is looking out for Blueberry. It wouldn't let me right click the picture, so here's the link....

Oh my, I think I'd rather deal with the extra aggrevation of running around finding my own cake than have to deal with someone's half eaten chips.

Look who I found at work today. They heard I needed to stage a mutiny and they came to offer their help. I think they might have heard there was RUM in the punch..... :rolleyes1 ......sure hope they don't turn on me when they find out the truth
