:teeth: Day 5--- AKL, DS, E 9/22/06

Well our day 4 ended a bit yucky--- a smkoer gave me a hard time when I asked him in a hurry to not smoke at our non-smoking room door. I was in a hurry to run to our bathroom so I must have inhale too deep that gross cigarette smoke. We had to get the front desk to help and Reedy Creek emt made sure that I was okay 9I was on a verge of a bad attack---no meds at hand). Well, I was sick all night so we took it easy. The housekeepers got rid of the nasty smoke smell in the room when we left.

We caught the DS to transfer to the AKL---not bad transfer time. We enjoyed a late lunch at Mara---fried shrimp, fries, cherry cheesecake, and Mr. Pibb for me. NC B. had the Marueben, fries, zebra domes, and iced tea. We had a nice chat with the staff at the grill.

We enjoyed the critters and window shop. We wished that we could come back someday for a long stay here---I like interior hallways and the little things that the deluxes and DVC provides.

We then went to DS and did some rides and the animination tour.
We took the boat to Boardwalk---it was real packed that night. Several ducks even tried to hitch a ride from the Swan/Dolphin.

NC Beast managed to get our 5:20pm adr pushed to 8pm for Spoodles because of our change in plans. Our waiter's voice reminded me of Rafiki from the Lion King. Our dinner was okay. I wasn't really hungry and food didn't really taste right for me.
I had the shrimp appie, fettucine (no meat add-ons available), Diet Coke, and creme brulee.
NC B. had a flat bread, lemon chicken w/cous-cous, iced tea, and a sorbet dish.

I rate Spoodles a 6.8---not loving it this time.

We took the boat to EPCOT and was stuck on it for awhile because of the fireworks traffic. We stroll arounfd the showcases and went on a couple rides before buying a coupons of things with one of our DVC certificates plus extra cash. I got 1 set of socks, french burnt peanuts (hard to get around here), and some jelly bellies.
We went to Pop before EMH ended and still had a long wait for a bus (almost an hour even with 3 buses loading at times).

We set the time for NC B.'s parents to met us at Pop's lobby for Sat. am.

:simba: Day 6--- AK with NC B.'s parents

Well, we started our day a little late. We met up with MIL & FIL at the lobby. We used a snack credit to get a box of 8 doughnuts. We had packed up our dirty clothes and took it with us to in-laws rental condo because they forgot their medicine and had to go back. We, ate our doughnuts at the condo and started our laundry. We got lost on the way and FIL got tired of us giving him directions so he lowered the volume on his hearing aids. He didn't really fully stop at the parking lot gate. NC Beast held up the parking pass and the guard just waved us in. We managed to get a space and rode the tram. The in-laws had to get replacement tickets so we waited for them. FIL was really hyper at this point and was close to running towards the safari. Meanwhile MIL was lagged way behind as she chatted with her baby boy. :teeth: (NC B.---ha-ha, you still got to love me) We had done Hersheypark in the past with them and they were better behaved then---but, it must be the water at Orlando because at times it felt like we had 2 young children.
FIL loved the bridges and the safari. He wanted more action and faster pace, but the MIL want to stroll and take pictures of places like one of the bathrooms near the Asia section.

After the first ride (safari), we went got fastpasses for Everest and since it was a 25-30 minute wait---got in line. FIL loved it, but MIL said it was okay.
We went on the trail in Asia, watch the apes, saw Flights of Wonder (we never saw it before), DDinosaur, and the bug movie. FIL loved the rides and the movie. He was so fascinated by the tree's details.
We eventually ate lunch...not at Flametree like we thought, but at Resterauntosaurus. We shared 2 counter meals of double cheeseburger---got free extra bun with DDP, forgot to add bacon, fries, soda, and strawberry shortcake. I gave my in-laws most of my fries, shortcake, free bun with one of the burgers. NC Beast gave his dad a burger (bun plus burger patty off his double). The in-laws loved being in the AC at this point and the fixins bar. We went to stake a spot by the pizza joint for the parade and then saw the Lion King show. The in-laws loved the parade and show.

We went to Publix after leaving AK. You would think that a minor food trip would be quick and no stress :bitelip: ... not with the in-klaws. We could had called the food trip: Publix 100 since it seem that we did so many laps around the deli side of the store. I swear at one point every available employee was asking what we needed and the aisle number. We must had been there almost an hour. The in-laws took us to the condo and insisted on roasting a chicken. There went any plans for us to show them DTD and enjoy Raglan Road.

The dinner menu included salad, grapes, chicken, frozen butternut squash, no dessert. I not sure the type of wine served (I only did Diet Coke), but the beer was store brand. The chicken was not flavored much, the squash was watery, but the grapes were good. I'm not a huge fan of their cooking normally, but NC Beast likes it still.
We spent the evening watching some news, looking at MIL's pictures on her notebook, and laundry.
:moped: edit: I can't believe I forgot this---FIL almost ran the Pop gate completely. The guard waved us in after we held my room key up. FIL kept on saying he does not know how to do the parking lot gates.:drive:
We got back to Pop in time to get slushies and some snacks. I enjoyed the Chip and Dale peanut brittle.

We slept hard that night.

I do want to make clear that I do adore my in-laws, but they seem wacky at times. We enjoyed our time with them at the parks.

Hello everyone!

We did something crazy - we adopted a dog from the county shelter just days before our Disney trip. The little girl has several short term issues we are taking care of (worms, infected cuts, eye infection & dry/irritated skin). We got her groomed today and she looks a lot better. My husband did bathe her before he brought her home but she still was very stinky. She had more than 20 ticks he had to pull off. But the next day the vet told us to wait for 48 hours before having her groomed - the wait was for the steriod meds we are giving her to start working on her skin. She was matted so badly we had to have her shaved. Here is what she looks like - If DIS and blogger work together.

Our other dog is doing quite well with her. We are going to board her when we go to Disneyland. We feel a tad guilty leaving her so soon - but bottom line is she is better off at our vet's than she was at that shelter. There was so much goop coming out of her infected eyes.

Off to pack for Disneyland!!!

:dogdance: BlueBayou---the new dog is so cute. Jessie was in foster care when we adopted her from a pet fair so she was well-groomed, but she had some issues.

Safe travels to those going away this weekend!

Good very early Saturday morning everyone!! :surfweb:

I'm up at the crack of dawn to go to Steph's 8am soccer game.

Then after the game, we have Kevin's fire dept open house that we are going to all afternoon.

Ohana - If I don't see you before you go, I hope you and your family have a wonderful time on your cruise. Please take lots of pictures so we can have a full TR when you come home :)

Belle - I didn't have a chance to read your TR, but I will later, I promise :)

I'll respond more later, until then, I gotta hop in the shower. Have a good day everyone!!

I'm so behind right now and no time to catch up. We're being picked up in less that 30 minutes. Sorry I've missed all the trips and returns and anything else for the last few weeks. I promise when we get home to jump right back in. See y'all in a couple weeks!

Loving your report NC Belle..

Bye RRBB, OF and Ian

I need to get packing too, Eric's pre game stuff starts at 5:30 and his game is at 8, and i leave at 6 am tomorrow.

Good Sunday morning everyone!!! :surfweb:

Wow....the frost outside is so thick. My last and final plant is now dead :guilty: It was the only thing I didn't pull out last week because it still looked pretty. Oh well, I guess I better pull that out today.

We were gone all day yesterday.
The soccer game wasn't to bad. The sun was shining bright and the wind wasn't as bad. I was cold, but nothing like Thursday night. Then we came home and changed, and off to the FD :firefight The open house was nice, but I was tired after running after Katie all day. Stephanie saw alot of her friends, and she loved showing them around the fire house. I also saw alot of people I know, and met a lot of Stephanie's friends mom's, which was nice also. One mom and I even exchanged phone numbers so the girls could play. :) Then after the FD Open House we went out to eat at Pizza Hut. It's the first time we have ever done that. We always eat Pizza Hut, but at home. We both agreed that all pizza for some reason always tastes better at the restaurant - we don't know why :confused3 , but it does. Then we came home and I put Katie straight to bed, she was so tired and I watched Poseidon, which was good - I give it a :thumbsup2 So that was my day yesterday.

Belle - I loved the TR!!! You are so detailed - it's awesome!!! :thumbsup2 I especially enjoyed reading about AK because we don't go there. We may go in January though because I want to ride EE.

BlueBayou - God Bless you for rescuing that dog!!! She will have a great home with you and your family. :) When are you leaving for DL, I can't remember.

RRBB - Have a great time on your trip!!! :cool1: I love the new picture in your siggie!!!

geffric - Bye geffric :wave2: Have a safe trip!!!

TinkerTracy - :wave2:

Well, I'm off to make some French Toast sticks - have a good day everyone!!

Hi slo!
I am getting ready to go out to the mall!
See you all tonight...when I procratinate my Homework!

Hi guys,
Well, what a nightmare week!! Our inspection thankfully is over, we just have to wait for the report now (although early indications are not good, just as expected really.) My lessons got good feedback though.

But on a nice note we went on a trip on Wednesday to our local castle. It is 2 minutes from my house but I have never been in!! The place is georgeous. It is over 900 years old!! In there we saw letters signed by King Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth 1st. We also learned that Charles Dickens was friends with the owners and wrote some of Oliver Twist whilst there. Plus the house and our village was the inspiration for his novel Bleak House!! The family still live there today, I so wish it was my house.
