How do you stay cool? I have to stay out of the heat due to my transplant and live indoors in the ac during the summer. I am a huge fan of Fall as I then can get outside and enjoy myself.

So tell me how you stay cool. I keep my blinds closed and light off to help keep the house cool. The humidity just kills me... :scared1:

Don't move to St. Louis, Missouri.;)

You have to either stay indoors & go out at night here to live in the heat and humidity. Our humidity is torture. We will even have humidity in the winter, when it is snowing. Figure that one out.:rotfl:

I am used to it and it doesn't bother me too bad. I have to mow the yard though. I am dreading that.:headache:

Humidity is moisture in the air. It is quite common to have high humidity with snow.

I agree, the heat isn't the issue as much as the humidity. We do like you do and stay in the air conditioning if it is really bad.

I've already had a couple phone calls to make sure we are home this weekend... we live on a lake and our family and friends descend on us in the heat! Looks like Father's Day will be at my house this year.... and I thought I could get out of it :lmao:.

Bring it on baby:thumbsup2 Been waiting nine months for beach weather. When I get home tomorrow I'll clean the deck and cook on the grille and then head to the drive in. Saturday am, up, pack the cooler, head to the beach, home at 6, cook on the grill, Sunday repeat.....the Cape is famous for its humidity but it doesn't bother me at the beach:laughing:

Well we have been dealing with it here in FL since Monday...Heat Index has been as high as 109:scared1:

Basically, stay inside if at all possible. If you can do things early in the day outside, do them then before it gets to be to much..

Keep watered! Keep pets watered and give them shelter from the sun.

Stay cool!

My family is leaving for a week at the beach on Saturday. This is the day it is really supposed to heat up. I'll probably stay in the house (with AC), or out on the balcony/patio during the hottest part of the day. I'll get my swimming/beach time in the morning or evenings.

Heat is the worst thing in the world because you just can't escape it! In the cold of Winter I can keep adding blankets/sweaters, but in the Summer and the heat, you can only do so many things...it's not like I can sit around in my skeleton! :rotfl:

I'm an Autumn guy through and through! Bring on the harvest.

It is storming here now. Geesh, we are setting up for heat index into the 100's for Father's Day.

Pretty hot summer here.
