Extra night @ Poly?

In Sept we are doing the 4day land / 3 day sea but will be driving in a day earlier than our land/sea package starts. Our package is at the Poly and we wanted to book an extra night there...but wanted to know what is the best to ask for. We are new at the Poly and have read about several different views and locations. Do all cruise rooms stay in a certain building and "they" will know where to book us when we call for an extra night or should we ask for a specific building. I would like to be close to main house because we hated being far away like at Caribean Beach resort...and had to drive to main building. Also...sorry for sounding so dumb but what is the concierge everyone speaks of and how much extra is it?

I am sure some one here can help with the details of staying with the land and sea package. I remember someone telling me there are certain longhouses that they use for these packages and I believe concierge and lagoon view rooms are not part of the package. There are plenty of great garden view rooms so I would not worry.

As far as being near the lobby (Great Ceremonial House) the Polynesian is no where near the size of CBR so even if you are in the farthest longhouse away you will not have more than a 5 minute walk.

You will have to check to see if they will allow you to pay the extra (approx $50 a day) for an upgrade to concierge. Concierge is just some added services. They put you in the Hawaii longhouse that only has access with a concierge room key and there is a separate guest services and check in desk located in the Hawaii longhouse as well as a lounge with food and drinks. We did the land/sea at the Poly a year ago and requested and got the Tokelau building. We really liked it.
