Am I correct that the "new" "limited time" PM EMH evenings will be ONLY for Pandora and not the other attractions that used to be available during the "old" PM EMH evenings or am I misreading the announcement?

If it is just Pandora-can you imagine the crowds in there for those 2 hours?

It sounded like normal emh to me. maybe the safari not running as it's animals and their welfare. Actually I hope the safari isn't running, you can't see anthign anyway and let the animals rest.

Pretty sure that is what I read, will dig.

Still looking for DPB announcement but ..

TP -
These Evening Extra Magic Hours will certainly be right for the night owls, as they will take place from 11:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m. Only Pandora – The World of Avatar will be open; no other attractions in the park will be open to Guests.

Laughing Place -
With the excitement surrounding the opening of Pandora - the World of Avatar at Disney's Animal Kingdom, the park will now be open late — very late, if you're a Walt Disney World resort guest. Starting May 27th and going through July 4th, Animal Kingdom will offer nightly Extra Magic Hours from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m., although they will be limited only to the Pandora area.

Disney Parks Blog - not quite as clear -
And beginning May 27 (through July 4), guests staying in select Walt Disney World Resort hotels will have the opportunity to experience Pandora — The World of Avatar with special nighttime Extra Magic Hours. Guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels with a valid theme park admission can fly on the back of a banshee, navigate a mystical river and walk under floating mountains beyond regular park hours – from 11 p.m. until 1 a.m. This benefit is in addition to the Extra Magic Hours already available to you at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

The plus is ... it will likely be so crowded if you do faint from claustrophobia, agoraphobia, alienophobia, zoophobia etc .... when you pass out you will be kept upright by the thousands of your new best friends around you.

It's this part that I find interesting - and may be what keeps crowds in check...

Guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels

Different hotels on different nights.... only Deluxe hotels... only Value hotels.... maybe only the Animal Kingdom Resort hotels??? It's so vague!!! :headache:

It's been discussed in a few places and we think it's just weird Disney terminology in order to say some ON site hotels that people associate with Disney (Disney Springs and kinda Four Seasons) do not get EMH.

It is how it is worded on the website for normal EMH hours as well. Difference is now we are nit picking everything they say.

Extra Magic Hours
Guests of select Walt Disney World Resort hotels enjoy extra time
in the parks before they open and after they close!

That makes so much more sense! I have got to stop over-thinking things. Thank you for restoring my sanity.

This info from wdwmagic "may" indicate The Awakenings will happen during PM EMH.(or it may just mean until 11:00 PM-not real clear).

Beginning May 27 through to July 4 2017, the park will open daily at 8am, with regular closings at 11pm.

Morning Extra Magic Hours, taking place twice per week, will begin at 7am.

Evening Extra Magic Hours at Pandora, will give Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests access to Pandora from 11pm to 1am daily. The Tree of Life Awakenings will also be shown during the extended hours.

Disney has also added a second showing of Rivers of Light on each night.

I make FP+ selections in a few days. This Pandora EMH thing has me a little thrown! Our AK morning is on 6/5 and the hours are 8-11. EMH are 7-8am and 11-1am, which is Pandora only right? Both AM and PM?

If so, I think we might try to go on the boat ride at 7am, do the other AK rides/shows, then end with a FP for FoP before heading out in the afternoon. We have a couple of evenings planned for wandering around AK and ROL where I'll probably try for another FoP FP and look around Pandora.

My "take it easy" trip is fast turning into "OMG AK is going to be crazy and we need to add days to the tickets!" I'll have an AP but the rest of my family have 5 day tickets and I was just informed that "it's not really a family vacation if you take off by yourself" ;) Just one night isn't that bad. The kids won't be able to power through, but I can :P

Music to Disney's ears! :mickeyjum

No kidding!

My family isn't on board...yet. We'll see after our first evening and they say "but we didn't get to do/see <insert Pandora thingy here>".

The fact is that I love the idea of a leisurely vacation but am swept away into a CRAM IT IN experience. Even our easy days have a bunch of options because I will be incredibly bored with pool time. My husband & kids are totally fine with pool time...which is why I'm planting the idea of me doing anything but hanging at the pool.

It's only the evening hours that are Pandora only. The morning EMH includes the rest of the park

Q's if u wouldn't mind??
Is it 60 days out for FP, if ur staying onsite..and have tix( is there a plug in for that to generate day/time?) is that midnight of or 6 am. I think our visit is 6/2..

And if it's select resorts .. and didn't get an email ..so we just go on the ap to see if we can get the FP? TIA
I am def confused :(

I'm not sure of the time, but I think 7am Eastern time. Yes...60 days if onsite w/tickets. MDE automatically calculates it.

"Select" means Disney owned. Hotels located in Disney Springs or places like the Four Seasons don't have the same EMH privileges. Log on at 60 days out and schedule your FP+ when staying at a WDW resort.
