Extra Magic Hr pickup times & dinner/show plans?

Hi all!

I'm planning our Dec trip, and the Extra Magic Hours wristband pickup times have me stressing about making dinner/show plans that will interfere with the wristband pick up times.

For example, on the MGM EMH night, we want to do a Fantasmic dinner package, then stay at the park late after the show ends. In Dec, that means we'd eat around 4:30 and go straight to the ampitheater for the 7:00 show. If the time for picking up EMH wristbands comes & goes while we are dining and/or watching the show, are we just out of luck?

Similarly, what about if we leave a park to go to dinner at a resort before they give out wristbands, and get back to the park after "public" hours are over?

You don't need to be in the park 2 hours before it closes to the public - as long as you are a resort guest with ID, you can get in for EMH and get the wristband then.

The 2 hour thing states that you cannot get the wristbands ANY EARLIER THAN 2 hours before park closing - but you can get them any time after that.

EMH wristbands can be picked up anytime from 2 hours before the EMH begins(according to allearsnet.com) until the EMH is about over at various locations in the park (the guide map will have them located). If you leave the park and return, just show them your room key when you are re-entering and you can get a wristband when you return.
