I've already posted this thread, but still unclear

But I've just seen another regarding cloloured wristbands

I'm so glad to see Disney have came to their senses and re-introduced Extra Magic Hours. We've had this privilege before, but it's only been an extra hour BEFORE the parks open, but I now see advertised up to an Extra 3 hours AFTER the park closes. How does this work, if it's only for resort guests, what do they do - empty the park and allow re-entry? Surely not? Any thoughts?

Does that mean that for the evening EMH the park is still open to everyone, but ONLY the people (resort guests) can ride the rides ?!

::yes:: thats right I'm not very bright!!

To get in at EMH in the mornings you have to show your room key and they let you through the turnstiles. If you didn't have a resort id (aka room key) you got to stand in line and watch all the disney resort guests prance on by. This is how it worked for us in December 05 and all other previous years we have went, too. We have never had to show the key again once inside the park for morning attractions.

For evening hours, they do not clear the park, they allow all visitors to stay if they wish, but only resort guests are allowed to ride and watch shows. Before closing (up to 2 hours) or after closing there will be several designated spots to get a wristband. You will need a room key for EVERYONE (adults, anyway, don't know about the kiddies) in your party Disney scans the cards on handheld scanners and checks to see that it hasn't been used by anyone else then they direct you to another CM who places the bracelet on you. They will not hand them to you and let you do it, I assume so that you cannot pass the bracelet off to someone else. When you enter a line or attraction if the attendant cannot clearly see your wristband they will ask to you to show it. If you do not have a wristband you will be turned away. I recommend getting your bracelet earlier than close b/c the lines tend to queue up at closing time for the bracelets.

I am trying to decide if DH and I will do the EMH on our May trip....we are staying at ASMo in February and only have one ticket for one day at the parks...we are chaparoning some kids and only have one day at the parks....well whichever park is chosen....just wondering if we have to pay extra for EMH or is it included in the resort fees?

We were not allowed to enter Adventureland without showing our band in Sept.

aaaaaahhhh - finally sinking in now :scratchin

thanks so much for the replys.

We've done the EMHs in the morning before, but that clears it up now for the evenings
