Extra Magic Hours

Already planning our August 2017 trip to the Fort and I was wondering about Extra Magic Hours. I see they've changed the Extra Magic Hours from when we were there in August 2015 and I was wondering how often they change them and when Disney typically does it.

They change them often, based on crowds and such.
