Extra Magic Hours

Ok, so help me understand. We are going to WDW In April and I guess I don't understand the EMH.

We are going to be there for instance on April 21st at the Magic Kingdom. Listed on the www.disneyworld.com the hours that day is 8am to 12pm with EMH hours in the morning and night. So if that is the case what hours is the park open to those of us not staying on property? HELP!

The park hours are as published. EMH only adds hours on top of the published hours. Does this help? Put another way, the park opens at 8 am for those staying off property and closes at midnight for those staying off property...those staying "on property" get extra hours on top of the published hours.

If the published hours are 8am to 12am, then I am able to be in the park those hours, but people on property will be able to be there earlier and/or later? WOW...by midnight I will be ready to be back at the hotel!

That is correct.

For morning EMH the park opnes one hour earlier so on the day in question the MK would open at 7 am for people staying on site. For eveing EMH the park closes 3 hours after posted closing time so It would be open until 3 am for those brave enough to stay up that late.
