Hi Folks,
looking for E-nights I found info about Extra Magic Hours in the morning and in the evening. I assume that those in the morning replace 'Early Entry' and those in the evening the former 'E-Nights'.
When we visited WDW the last time in 2003 Early Entry was free, but E-Nights required a surcharge of ~$15.
Are those Extra Magic Hours in the evening now free or do we have to pay extra for it?
We'll stay onsite and have Magic Your Way ParkHoppers & Waterparks/DisneyQuest.
Any input welcome :wave2:

If you are used to those E-Nights, be ready for a lot more people in the parks on those EMH nights!!! That fee for E-nights kept the numbers down. Now that it's a 'perk' for on-site guests, there are many, many more people in the parks.

ABSOLUTELY TRUE!!!!!
I wish we could go back to the old E-nights. During busy times the evening EMH is a complete waste of time.

Ooops, that was quick.
Danke schön
Thanks a lot :wave2:

They're free to onsite hotel guests.

We took full advantage of the evening EMH's and really only found the Epcot EMH to be overly crowded. But, we were able to walk on Test Track and got fastpasses for Soarin'.

AKL EMH was magical as it was the first time we saw it at night and not crowded. Just simply being able to walk around the park was so beautiful. The Tree of Life lit up at night is a sight you shouldn't miss.

MK EMH was crowded at the beginning, but thinned out considerably at 1 or 2 in the morning.

And, frankly, I don't remember MGM being all crowded during EMH.

Anyway, have a great time, keep the expectations under control regarding EMH and they'll be well worth your time.

We'll stay for 10 days at WDW so we'll be able to do EMH at every park at least once :cool1:
Thanks, LuvDuke

Just remember, have a room key for everyone that's with you. WDW gives out braclets for the EMH in the evening. To get a braclet you have to show a room key. I've seen people turned away for not having a key to get a braclet.
One more tip. On EMH days, go to a different park as the EMH park gets very busy in the afternoon and evening.

LuvDuke-When were you there? What were the crowds like during the day (high, medium, or low crowd sizes)? :goodvibes

So are they open early and late on the EMH days or are they alternate days or something. Thanks

The last time we used evening EMH was June 2005. I would say, during the day, the crowds were "high" but manageable if you played the fastpass right.

EMH (evening) seems to be a hit or miss type of thing, but it stands to reason that most folks with small children will not stay in the parks until 3:00AM. And FWIW, the "E-Nights" were also getting crowded as the word spread.

I'm one of those lucky Florida residents who go to WDW 3 or 4 times a year generally in June/July, October (MNSSHP), and December (MVMCP). :cool1:

The hit or miss part is what's driving me crazy; I don't want to commit to an extremely late night and it be crowded. I did think the same thing; surely there can't be too many people in the parks as it approaches 3am.

We did the E-nights on at least 3 different occasions and one was very crowded and frustrating. :furious:
