According to this thread on MiceChat, it looks like EMH might be a new future perk for onsite guests!!! :Pinkbounc

Good spot Becky :thumbsup2 This would definitely help the Disney Hotels against the very competitive pricing of the Select Hotels :)

I also read a week or so ago on Castmember.be that there was talk of extending the opening time of the park to 11.00pm in busy off peak periods. :)

Interesting.. We always book on an on site hotel mainly because of DD age however we would not tend to stay late also because of her age. However when she is older we maybe inclined to book of site and this may sway us to stay onsite.

Every time I look at the price of the non-Disney hotels, I always think they are not so cheap either... Actually, I always think they are rather pricey...

I would have to disagree with that.. I have seen some fantastic prices at The Holiday Inn which is a four star.. I guess i varies though depending on what time you go and the offers that are on.

This would be brilliant- it would definetely make me want to stay onsite!!!

I must admit I never really looked up special offers, only looked at the prices in the travel agent's brochures.
Oh well, I am so used to the Santa Fe, I guess I will just keep on going there :) And that's maybe also because I became good friends with some of the CMs over there... and they became CM-only-pin-suppliers for me!

I have never taken up any of the deals at of site as when we come to book we end up going on site, as it makes it more a disney holiday and you get the characters in the hotel. however we have decided to stay offsite when we go to California as we want to be able to be near a beach.

My Dad is a chef at a restaurant at a holiday Inn and he gets a discount at any holiday Inn in the world. Unfortunaltly he has to check in to get the discount so I can not use it without them being there.

during the shareholders meeting I could book a Disney Hotel with the shareholders 25% discount. (NY or NPBC) Newport would have cost me 150 euro. I booked Holiday Inn instead for 50 euro

The Magic hours at DLRP? MMmm... my thoughts. With the financial problems and the extra cost this would bring I am not sure if this would happen (extra CM's, extra cost)... then again. I could be wrong

I wondered the same thing, but maybe they've realised they've got to spend money to make money - and this is a good place to start. We shall see!! :scratchin

This intrigues me. I have booked for the last weekend in may and even with the shareholder or dream AP it was 150 euros more expensive to stay in the Cheyenne than the Holiday Inn.
That was too much money I could spend on pins at the event so we will be in the Holiday Inn.
