Extra Magic Hour

I have heard from some people that the rides during the Extra Magic Hour are very crowded and that it's not worth staying late. We are going to be there Feb 27 - March 5. Do you think that will be the case?

We stayed late last May at MGM and we didn't find the crowds to be a problem. They were, however, testing this EMH system and maybe as many people didn't know about it. I think you should at least give it a try since it doesn't cost anything extra. If you find it is too busy you can always go back to your resort and get a fresh start in the morning.

We were there Jan5-11th and crowds were low during EMH evenings. That could change as more people find out about it.

That won't really be an option if you PLANNED for the late hours- like didn't get at the park the minute it opened and slept in, got there later... that would really cut your day short if you ended up leaving during EMH evening because it was crowded.

all the evening EMH's last week, and didn't find any of them crowded. I think you'll find it is worth it, especially MK, which has quite a few attractions that participate.

We were there when they tested the Extra MH last May and though it seemed like there were a lot of people in the parks, the rides were not crowded. We rode TOT at the Studios 4 times in a row. Well worth it!

The day we're planning at mgm, park hours are 9-7 and Fantasmic is at 7. So do the extra magic hours run 7-10, during Fantasmic, or begin after the show?

Extra hours are 7-10 and MGM is especially nice for late hours. Very light crowds. Since it's a smaller park, most people see everything and leave earlier than the other parks.It felt like we had the place to ourselves when we were there
