Extra Magic Hour Question

Animal Kingdom has EMH in the evening on the 6th October - which I "assume", as PoP Century guests, means we get 3 hours extra in the evening So Animal Kingdom would be open till 8pm rather than 5pm that night

We plan to go to Blizzard Beach during the day (this closes at 5pm) and then experience Animal Kingdom in the dark - something we have never done before.

I have seen info on EMH that says you have to collect your wristband up to 2 hours before the park closes to the general public. Does this mean that we HAVE to be in Animal Kingdom before it closes at 5pm ?? or can we arrive after 5pm and collect a wristband at the gate??

You do not have to be at the park before it closes to regular guests. It just means you cannot collect your wristband BEFORE that 2 hour time frame.
