Was planning on staying off site but using BAT discount code amd now staying on-site at ASMo. So excited!!!

Now have access to Extra magic hour, but don't know if waking up that early to make use of it is really worth it.

If we use it, it would be only for AK on Mon Dec.20 (instead of going to MK on Monday as we had originally planned).

Would you switch to AK Monday (and do extra Magic) or stick with Magic Kingdom Monday and do AK Wednesday (as originally planned)?

Thanks,
Riu Girl

Hi Riu girl,
I have not done an early morning before but it depends if you have kids and how old. I do know that Monday is the busiest day for MK and being the 20th/12 might be even more so.
If I were going early I would try and make a PS at Cinderalla's Royal Table for breakfast. Monday is also a busy day for AK but they say the animals are out early in the morning because it is cooler. Do the safari ride you may get lucky and see more animals up close.
Good Luck!

Sorry, I forgot to mention that we will be travelling with our DS4 and DD7.
We are planning on renting a double stroller for them in the WDW parks.

Is your family used to getting up early? My family isn't so to wake them up grumpy wasn't worth it for me. My theory has always been to go the opposite direction of everyone else. If they are heading to AK for EE then I am going to MK without all of them.:smooth:

EE is good for MK but it could also depend on the type of ticket you have as well. What we did was do EE for MK and then when the crowds came we hopped to another park. This only works though if you have AP's or park hoppers.

Fondly recall early morning rides on Dumbo esp when we had to wait for the right colour Dumbo!!! Am almost sorry those days are over in our household. :p

We used ee for MK also, then park hopped once the crowds started to roll in. We rode all our favourites then went to the bake shop on Main street, had bagels and watched the crowds streaming in. I've never found ee for the other parks worth it, we avoid the park with ee otherwise and use the suggested 'least busy' days to plan our park days.

I only use EE for the MK and it works well for me. I can usually hit all the fantasyland and tomorrowland rides I like before the park officially opens. Then I do a few other rides before the lines get too long, get something yummy from the bakery, and head out while the crowds start streaming in.

If I can't wake up early I avoid the MK on EE day. It can get really, really crowded :crowded: and the lines can get unbearable. That wasn't a fun lesson to learn.

We skip the early entry park as it tends to be the busiest day for the park so we go elsewhere not really worth it in my opinion. I would rather go to E night than EE.
