Extra Magic Hour Evening ?

I was reading that you need to pick up your wristband 2 hrs before park closing if you're a resort guest staying for the evening magic hours.

My question is that we're arriving late afternoon and would like to go to the Magic Kingdom for these evening hours (we're staying at WDW). Will we have trouble getting into the park if we arrive at 7 or 8 pm?? Kim

The rule is that you can't pick up wristbands BEFORE 2 hours out. You should be fine.

We went at around 8pm and got our wristbands for EMH's at MK last week. We were fine.

I've been told that you can get your wristbands from 2 hours before closing on. I have also been told that long lines sometimes develop for wristbands for folks trying to enter an EMH park after EMH begins.
We'll see next week.
