I was wondering what is y'alls take on going to the park with the Extra Magic hours or going to a different park? We were planning on going to the park with them, but then I was reading a few articles that said to stay away because those with them will be the busiest & to crowded. We are staying at Disney & going May 4-10. Now I am on the fence about what to do. What experiences have y'all had Extra Magic hours VS a park with regular hours.
Thanks

I found the parks with morning EMH to generally be busier during mid-day. If you arrive at rope drop (park opening) then the crowds should be fine. We really enjoy evening EMH, especially at MK and have never found the crowds to be bad. Evening EMH at Hollywood Studios isn't so great. Only a few main attractions and the lines for those remain long.

If you can be there for RD they are well worth it, IMHO. If not, I would stay away from that park.

If you dont mind getting up at 630 Am on your vacation to make an 8AM rope drop, AM EMH can be very worthwhile, especially if you have park hoppers. I suggest going to the first hour or 2 and then hopping before lunch. Make your FP+ reservations for the second park.

Evening EMH is a mixed bag. The later the better. A night with EMH till 11 PM will be more crowded then a night with EMH till 2AM

My favorite morning EMH are the ones at AK. You can do so much in that hour! We rode Kilimanjaro Safari 3 and Everest twice in just one hour, both were walk ons! We left around noon that day, when the park started to fill up and spend the rest of the day at the pool and wen to DTD that night (we didn't have hoppers).
