Extra Large and Jumbo Sized Lockers at DL

I'm sure several of you are aware but for some reason I've just never picked up this information. My wife and I were in the park almost a week ago and I was going to put my tripod in a large locker located near Guest Services just outside the turnstiles. The last time I was there, I stashed it in a large locker at DCA and it barely fit. However, it wouldn't fit in this one and was off by about 1-2 inches of being able to shut the door. I mentioned it to Guest Services and they informed me of the larger lockers in the picnic area that is just outside of the bag check area. To my surprise, there was not only extra large but also jumbo sized lockers to rent. I believe they were $12 and $15 respectively. They also said to go by City Hall and get a refund for the one that didn't work. I did that and there were no questions asked in refunding the $10.

And, in case you're wondering, you could put just about anything in the jumbo lockers. They're enormous! (don't get any ideas about rowdy kids though! )

Aw man, and here I was getting ready to measure my oldest son.....

Thanks for the info, that could come in handy if we decide to take DD's stroller but don't want it the whole time....she'll be four by then so I am hoping she can hoof it most of the day...
