Extra insurance on car rental?

We are also seriously looking at uscarhire, now that I have read this thread and done some research. Would be very interested in your experience also. Last year we had an incident with a piece of wood on #4 in Orlando and ended up using aerogold CC to put the claim through. We do have the endorsement on our regular auto insurance for rental cars but didn't want to use it because it would probably affect the rates. That been said liability is not covered on CC so if the accident had been with another vehicle and someone was hurt they could have sued and we would have had to use personal insurance and who knows how the rates would have gone up. So this year we were going to use CC for CDW/LDW and buy the liability coverage through the rental company. Extra money I know but I would rather be covered outside of my personal insurance. Anyway the uscarhire thing is cheaper for all inclusive and an extra driver so we are leaning that way. Thanks for the info Canadamom.

For those that were wanting to know, I've posted a review of uscarhire on this board. I wouldn't hesitate to book with them again.
