Hi....if it says extra hours for MGM and it closes at 10:00...does that mean it will be open until 1:00...are the parks always open 3 hours later when it says extra evening hours....and can you get to the park right before closing and get your wrist band....I am getting ready to make my PS for June..but after looking at the extra night hours I might have to change it up....thanks... :flower:

So far, we haven't seen an nighttime EMH that WASN'T 3 hours (although they always state "up to three hours") So, when the Studios close at 10pm, the EMH continues until 1 am.

A couple of weeks ago, we (along with an unbelievably large number of people) enjoyed the Magic Kingdom until 3 am !

we were there in january during the "slow" season, and all the emh was the full 3 hrs. you can get your wristband starting 2hrs b4 the parks reg hours end, and anytime during the emh 3 hrs. we were leaving one park a half hour b4 emh ended, and people getting off the bus were just getting there to get wristbands. they had been to a late dinner, and were going to ride a few rides b4 the night ended. :cool1:

We just got back a few hours ago and did participate in the EMH evening hours 3 times during our stay. They begin handing out the wrist bands about 3 hours prior to the end of the "normal" hours and continue to hand them out about 2 hours into the EMH hours.

Make your PS's and rest comfortably that you can get your wrist bands as you get to the park or after your dinner.

Have fun!!!!

We only took advantage of the EMH at MGM, and we were kinda soured on the whole concept. There were so many people there; we got in line for RnR with a posted wait time of 30 minutes, and 30 minutes passed before while we were still in the outside queue. We ended up getting out of line, and leaving the park. I think that people are more apt to stay out late on vacation than get up early, so I'd imagine that the early EMH are probably better than the evening ones...oh well :confused3

Hmm... I was at MGM for evening EMH and the waits for RnRC and ToT were 15 minutes and "13" minutes respectively. Basically I thought that evening EMH was pretty good at MGM. Maybe it was just luck that the waits weren't that long, I'm not sure. I thought the EMH was a great idea to have.

I noticed that after the first hour of EMH evenings, it really starts to clear out. People staying offsite are still around shopping and just being there, but after an hour or so, they start to clear out since they can't ride anything.

We're shooting for our first EMH. We arrive on May 4th and are going to head out to MK for a late late night (after waking at 4am to catch our plane) Zoinks!!! We normally just resort hop and go to DD on our first day.

Where exactly do you get the wristbands?

Hey Sunking,
How were the crowds? Sorry your back :guilty:

We are also flying on May 4th and plan to spend EMH at MK. Hopefully the crowds will be okay!
