Extra FP+ for vacation club tours?

I know they used to give extra FP for those taking the Vacation Club tour, just curious is there anyway for them to do that with fastpass+?

Today? No. In the future I would expect it.

I've heard resorts have been told they will have extra FP+ slots to use as promotions. You know book a package now for a vacation between x and y and get not quite free dining and an extra FP+ Slot each day of your visit.

Yes - there is a way. Whether they still do that or not I don't know. But extra fastpasses can be added to bands which allow you to basically go to any FP+ ride and be admitted. Had a few added by a cast member at a kiosk back in December when we were having some issues. Issues weren't really even that bad but we were talking and I was being polite and giving some feedback and he punched some stuff in his iPad and added three to the bands for us. Only used two but they did work.

Assume same could be done for tours - just don't know if they're actually doing it.

But extra fastpasses can be added to bands which allow you to basically go to any FP+ ride and be admitted.

Just to keep things as clear as possible-

There is no reservation info, or ticket info, or credit card info,
or FP+ info "put onto" a MagicBand.

The MagicBands just contain a unique serial number that is used
to access the information that is stored in your MyDisneyExperience computer file.

So, even if you were to lose a MagicBand, the info stays locked in your file.
Disney can just set up a new band (different serial number)
to access the info in your MDE file.

The MagicBand works like the combination to a locked safe, a key to a locked door.

Why does this distinction matter?
Because there is so much fear about losing bands and,
in turn, losing all of a guest's information thought to be on the band.

The MB, itself, is not the file of info or the container of the info.
The MB just unlocks the file of info to be read, when needed.
If you have extra FP+ added, they are actually added to your MDE account.
