Extra dining credits

After managing to pull off free dining for two different rooms/resorts, both of which were exactly what we wanted, I've just found out several in our group are planning on heading to Universal for at least three of our park days. Are the QS and TS credits assigned to them going to go to waste or will the rest of us be able to use them?

They will not go to waste! The credits are all pooled together and everyone will be able to use them. You can use as many in one day as you'd like. Each of your rooms with have their own pool of credits and they are linked to every magic band on that room reservation. So, if those members of your party are in the same room as you, your magic band will access "their" credits. If they are in the other room, make sure you have one of their magic bands to access those credits.

Now that you know this, you also need to make sure that EVERYONE in your group understands how they work. You are not limited to one TS,QS, snack per day. You can use them all on one day if you want. There was someone a few years back who had ONE person in their group use ALL the snack credits in two days or something. They wanted to know if they could get them back....NO, you can't.

You could use some of those extra credits to do some signature dining or double up one day and do a TS for breakfast and another for dinner.

I remember that post..it's hard to forget it. The poster had a whole lot of people in one villa, and wanted to know if Disney would pay them for the snacks they didn't get to eat because their errant family member used them instead. No, they won't...anybody in the group could have redeemed those snacks. With a group, it's important to make sure everybody in each room understands how many credits are "theirs" to use.

The big issue you'll have with using another room's credits is that they probably won't let you use 1 credit from your room combined with 1 credit from the other room to pay for a 2 credit meal for one person. Both credits used to pay for a 2 credit meal would need to come from the same account.

One plan we have to use up our credits on days we are at Universal is to have a quick service dinner after Universal and then use the extra table service credits on going to signature restaurants. Stopping at Disney Springs for a quick service from Wolfgang Puck Express makes sense to me.
