Extra Charge for Extra Adults

We are considering renting points for a stay in December with 4 adults. I know that Disney charges extra for more than 2 adult per room. Are there added fees for extra adults when staying DVC??

No extra charges for more than 2 adults, although room capacities are strictly enforced (i.e., you can't stuff 6 people into a 4 person studio).

There are a lot of confirmed reservations available. One rental site has 1,530 current listings.

Each room has a defined capacity ... 4 for Studios, 5 for one bedrooms... no extra charge up to capacity as noted above. Cash stays under hotel rules may be different.

You still have access to Magical Express (you may need to have the owner help on this)
There is no extra charge for any age guest up to the room capacity
Guests under age <=2 do not count against the room capacity
You do not have to pay for parking (resort or park)
There is no sales tax charged on top of the rental fee

Just a note regarding the guests under 3, that's only for 1 child. If there are 2 children under 3 then one would count towards room capacity.

That varies by resort some studios sleep 5, some 1 Bedrooms only sleep 4.

What I said is accurate. Off the top of my head CCV has never allowed 5 in a 1BR, and there are I believe 5 resorts that sleep 5 in a studio.

Actually when I first joined in 2009, you could not sleep 5 in a 1 bedroom unless it was child under 3.

it was changed later on that they began allowing it with the notion to bring bedding. IIRC, it was after they had some 1 bedrooms like that when they added the sleeper chair to OKW and BLT and AKV had it

The good news is now you have RIV and soon app of SSR to the mix.

Nope. Occupancy was fixed at what it was stated back in the early days of DVC, but you could add one more under the age of three. It wasn't until they started raising the price for a point to crazy costs that they started to let guests bring in another adult guest but they had to provide their own bedding, bed and linens. But only for point reservations, not cash reservations through Disney Reservation Center.

VGF one bedroom doesn't have a sleeper chair, but it does have the bunk sized murphy bed in the living room. OKW has the sleeper chair in the one bedroom. AKV-Value villas are hard fours in the studio and one bedroom. CCV is also a hard four in the studio and one bedroom.

If you book through Disney Reservation Center, you do pay the extra adult fee for more than two adults in a studio, but not a one bedroom. On points, there is no extra fee. But I would never put four adults in a studio and only in some one bedroom villas.

I know of people who have done DVC rooms...all sizes..via cash and never paid the extra adult fee when staying,

If they are charging now, it must be new.

That is what I was thinking. Another example of what was once free, but now you pay. (in regards to the studios)

I just got a quote from the site and they did not charge extra for more than 2 in a studio. So, no change to policy,

The first one is for 2 Adults/1 Child. The next one is 3 Adults/1 Child. Same dates and such.
