Extra Bun

Sharing a Mickey Bar? I am sorry but that just grosses me out. I am not sharing an ice cream bar with anyone. The only exception would be if I had a very young child and they didn't finish it. Other than that I would not be sharing. It is just blech!

I am totally with you! And yes I do kiss my DH, and I love all of my kids, and no, I don't think they have anything particularly "nasty" but....ICK.....When one of my kids were younger I would let him drink from my water bottle. He would hand it back to me and I swear it looked like there were Sea Monkeys swimming in it. Gross.
I guess it skeeves me out because of the whole backwash/mouth/possibly unbrushed teeth. I don't finish what is on my kids plates. Ever. My kids know how to share, but I would much rather just buy them their own, then swap germs with them that way.
Now my husband? He has no problem whatsoever finishing leftover food. Mine or the kids. Of course he has a weight problem, and I don't.........

What should I charge?

You wouldn't share one with your DH? I wouldn't share one because I am selfish, but not because it is gross?:confused3 ( I think a young child's cooties would be a lot grosser than the man you married and had kids with!)

What do you do when you have to kiss your DH? :rotfl2:

If his cooties are safe there, I'm sure they're still safe on ice cream.

Seriously?? So you never kiss you dh with an open mouth either then do you??

I hate sharing bottled drinks with my kids but I do share other stuff with them. There are times when I can't finish Ice cream and my teen will take it. I just don't understand how sharing with your own family is "blech" unless they are truely nasty people.

Clearly I don't skeeve my dh since I am pregnant with our 5th child. There is plenty of kissing going on here.;):laughing:
I also do not skeeve my kids. I love everything about them and could care less about germs.
I just do not like sharing certain foods. Ice cream being one of them. There is just something about everyone licking it etc. that makes me gag. It's not like taking a bite of a burger. To me it is just nasty to all lick something. I don't know, just the thought of it is gross to me. It's not the germ factor, it is something that I just can't explain. Now if I was eating say a dole whip and my kids or dh wanted to try some from my spoon I would have no problem with that. It's just the whole lallaaaaallaaaaa slurrrrrrrp! from a cone or similar type food that I cannot stand.
Yeah, I know, I'm a weirdo but it's just one of my things if you will.:upsidedow

ETA- If one of my kids or dh asked for some of my cone I would still share it with them even if in my head I didn't want to. I love them.

I guess it's all in your perspective. I don't like to swap food spit with my family but thats me. But I also can't understand how somehow could spend thousands of dollars on a Disney vacation and then cheap out about an extra bun. But hey thats me. See? What one person thinks is normal another does not.........

I've never understood why this topic always results in a lot of nastiness and name-calling. Buy an extra bun, or don't. It is not an ethical issue.

Very well said!!! :thumbsup2

I do enjoy a good bun debate tho and the germaphobia twist I did not see coming. :rotfl2:

Buying an extra bun is not a black market transaction.

This cracked me up! As always, very well said, Mary! :thumbsup2

Once again, this cracked me up! :rotfl: My DD6 has finally stopped the backwash - no one would share a bottled drink with her for a LONG time!

This thread has turned hilarious - Happy Sunday, everyone! :goodvibes

I think a pregreased bun should sell for extra, to the earlier poster that asked. With all that WDW flavor soaking in, along with the fixings bar, you have yourself enough for a family of 5 for the day. ;)

Your kids whine if they have to share?

That's what I was thinking, too! My kids share - there is no whining, it's just a fact. They share meals, always had. On the rare times we go put for fast food, I get a jumbo box of chicken nuggets, and the largest fries available. When we go to the movies, I get a large popcorn, and they share it (I bring in cups). Heck, not only do dd6 and dd8 share a room, they share a wardrobe (same size), including underwear! :rotfl2: With a big family, it's just how it is.

I'm with you on this one. I can share anything but dairy products; for some reason I'm grossed out by the thought. :confused3

I will not let anyone share a glass of milk with me....just the thought grosses me out...not sure why as I will let my kids have a sip of my coke/iced tea or whatever else I have, but do not touch my milk! Same with a slice of cheese...if it has been bitten into..forget it! Now I will tear off a piece from a slice and share, but no one can bite my cheese! :rotfl: My DH things I am ridiculous...and now that I type it out...it sounds silly too, but oh, well!

Oh...and no licking my ice cream cone either!! Now if it is in a cup you can get another spoon and share with me, but not the cone.
