Extra 3 hours PM

I apologize if this has been discussed already, but I have a couple of questions
about the 3 hours of extra time for WDW resort guests. Have they set the schedule for which parks /nights? And, how do they manage it? Do you have to exit and then return? Just curious. Thanks.

As far as management, you get a wristband by showing your resort ID. I imagine they will distribute them at locations in the park, you don't have to re-enter. Similiar to e-nights.
