external hardrive

My WD external hardrive is dead. I have all my 2012 pictures in there, and all my templates and scrapbooking stuff. The computer is not reading the drive. It is making a clicking sound. I took it to 2 different IT guys and they do not know what is wtong with it. I need HELP please.

That's not good. My WD external hard drive got knocked over and started making the clicking noise. Called the company. They said that it had to be sent to a company that extracts info. Called a couple companies. They both said it would cost $250 just to look at it and it could run up to $1500.00 to extract the info. It has to be opened in a special controlled room with no dust particles.
Brought it to a local guy he said he wasn't equipped to fix it.
I had to start all over. Bought a new hard drive and spent a few months recreating everything. Now I make sure I have it backed up. Sorry.

exactly why I have everything in multiple places! my photos get copied to CDs too. Won't help you now but everything "goes" at some point

better get over to Amazon for a couple more flashdrives for myself!
