I have to second this.. The last two years for our August trip, hours were updated in mid July. It's an annoyance but seems like a yearly occurrence now
Any guesses on why they do this? I would think they have a fairly good idea of crowd levels based on resort reservations and history especially during summers and around holidays.

I wish I knew. It is baffling to me. Because I agree with you. They know darn well what they projected hours are going to be, within I'd say an hour or so. Everyone knows that they hours they post when a month is first released are changing. They'll end up being almost identical to last year. Why they don't start with hours closer to the final version to start with is a mystery that I don't think we'll ever solve.
A good example is December hours for the weeks closer to Christmas. They will open the park at 8:00 but when the December park hours are released they will be showing 9:00. They know darn well they are changing them to 8:00 at some point so why not put 8:00 when they first issue it? Beats me
