Hi all! My DH and I are planning an Orlando getaway for September or October, 2014. We are hoping to purchase the Discovery Cove pass that will allow us days at Sea World and Aquatica. There may be a day in there at Cocoa Beach also. I was thinking about staying at an Extended Stay Hotel. I've stayed at them before (not in Orlando) and they are usually clean and we take advantage of the full kitchen to save money on eating out. And we don't plan on spending all that much time in the room anyway. Has anyone stayed at an Extended Stay in Orlando? Or does anyone have any other recommendations for something similar?

Thanks!

Ruthie :)

Hello Ruthie

We have stayed at the Extended Stay America next to the Orlando Convention Center Area and right across from Sea Worlds Aquatica Water Park.

Great experience and yes, very clean... While typing I am trying to remember the street name !!! Yes, Westwood Street and International Drive...

Good Luck :cool1:

Planning for mid Oct. 2013 and like the idea of weekly low rate.
How do you recieve a "discount rate" for "Extended Stay Hotels"
(hope this is OK in the forum to ask)

I took the rates out, because during our email conversation - I thought it was not appropriate to post the prices. I don't want to be charged with an infraction.

Also just a suggestion but when you buy your Discovery Cove tickets if you choose to upgrade to Ultimate tickets at the checkout for $20 more you can also use your tickets to go to Busch Gardens. Very well worth the $20 because it costs about $85 to get in Busch Gardens. It is in Tampa though. You might not want to drive that far away for a day at a park. But it is an awesome park.

I don't know how much extended stay hotels cost but you can stay at Quality Suites Lake Buena Vista in a one bedroom suite with a full kitchen that sleeps 6 for around $70 a night if you book online and pre-pay it.

It also includes free hot breakfast. It is in a good area surrounded by shops and restaurants on Palm parkway about half way between Disney and Universal.
