Extended Hours in November???

We have booked a 6 night trip that will finish the day before Thanksgiving. I am doing some trip planning and noticed on EasyWDW that 1 am is listed for closing most of the week on Thanksgiving while the official park hours show closing at 10 pm. I also noticed that the 1 am closing time was in effect last year. Are the later hours something that I can plan on to spend a little extra time one evening at the MK? We really enjoy the late night hours at the MK and have always enjoyed the reduced crowds. Any help would be appreciated.

The week of Thanksgiving, beginning the Sunday before (maybe Saturday before) should see some extended hours. They've been known to extend them when it gets closer, based on need. I wouldn't expect extended hours prior to the weekend before Thanksgiving though - we did this week last year, and the currently listed hours are about the same.

We will be there on Thursday the week before until Wednesday the week of Thanksgiving and will try to hit the MK one evening on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday if they are open late. We have two one day passes with the Free Dining promotion and 4 park hopper days left over from previous trips. When do you think the extended hours would be announced?

I was wondering the same thing. Noticed the difference in hours. And we will be there the same time as you, except leaving on Tuesday. So hopefully we will find out soon about the hours for sure.

Actually, if you look at each date for the week of Thanksgiving on the easywdw calendar, it says, "The park hours and advice are based on what will likely be the final schedule based on last year." Josh uses the TA calendar and he posts the updates as soon as they're available.
