Extended Evening Hours for Deluxe Guests - Just saw this with specifics

Just a reminder that there is no reliable source posted for this information. Please take it with a grain of salt until it can be supported by a reliable source.

Also, I believe there is a time typo in the first post.

Has been confirmed. It is on the Disney website now. And, I corrected the typo. Thank you so much for the catch!! Appreciate it.

Well if this holds up then we will get to have some Epcot hours on our trip. That's something at least and would be our evening park anyways while staying at the Riviera.

Gran Destino Tower is not included because it’s a moderate resort.

Yes - agree. But accommodations in the tower tend to be relatively close to the cost at WL if you look for discounts. And, the tower has a club level. I was just making the point that if allowing the Swan and Dolphin that perhaps looking at the tower, especially club level rooms should be considered for this perk. Probably won't happen but would not be a far reach. You can make the distinction electronically on the app/magic band/ticket.

Was really hoping, but not really expecting, that this would be 1 night a week at each of the parks. Looks like AK and HS aren't going to get it. Bummer.

Depending on if the rest of the schedule sticks with Mondays and Wednesdays, I seem to have split my moderate/ deluxe stay the wrong way. I didn't know about this when I made the reservation, so I'm not going to try to change it, but it is a little disappointing

If you only look at cost, family suites at Art of Animation typically cost as much as a deluxe resort.

I do agree that Swan and Dolphin, and especially Shades of Green, were a surprise to be included.

By that theory then AOA should be included as well since their suites are just as expensive as some Deluxe if not more.

I'm disappointed that AK and HS aren't included. A couple of extra hours in each of those parks would have been nice but I'll take this for now.

It will be interesting to hear reports from the first few nights to see how crowds are handled. It has always been policy that if you're in line at official park closing, you get to ride the attraction. Some of those lines can get quite long and I imagine Ratatouille will be at least a 60-minute wait even at park closing. I really wonder how much of a perk this will be at Epcot?

Anyone have any idea how long they plan on doing this? We have a reservation for an Art of Animation suite for June 2022. It would cost us less to stay at Animal Kingdom or Wilderness Lodge AND we could get the extended evening hours. If it extends to next year, I want to change our reservation.
Also, if it does extend to next year, any recommendations on which to switch to? DH and I stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge and were upgraded for free to a Savannah room before we were married, but that was 16 years ago. We've never stayed at Wilderness Lodge and our DS and DD haven't been to either one.

I personally don’t like the way the days of the week are different, so you can’t even use the info to help plan your park reservations. Maybe a pattern will emerge soon, all subject to change of course. But more hours are better than less, for sure.
What do you mean? Both Epcot days are Mondays and both MK days are Wednesdays.

If I spend the night on a Sunday or Tuesday night and check out on a Monday or Wednesday will I be able to get the benefit of extended hours at a deluxe resort? In the past you were able to use the resort amenities until midnight on checkout day. Like use of the pool.etc. So just trying to plan and prepare for a visit. Thank you

Hmm, I see that now. Either I misread it, or maybe that was the typo that got corrected? Either way, yay, that helps with planning! And hopefully means, as others have hoped, that HS and AK will get days of their own was well.

We’ll end up with 4 late nights in a row - we have Boo Bash Sunday and Tuesday and now we’ll have Extended Evening Hrs Monday and Wednesday…I can’t wait!

I personally think this is how the schedule will be. Mondays and Wednesdays, MK and EP. This is in line with the rumors I heard that it would be 2 days a week for 2 hours at 2 different parks.

Has it been noted that this is for the foreseeable future, or at least through the 50th celebrations into next year? We're staying deluxe next summer and would love to have the opportunity.

I’m just glad to have details now. I have a Pop/Yacht Club split stay. It’s my first time at a deluxe. Our dates at YC are the week after what’s posted now, but I’m going under the assumption that they will stick with the Monday/Wednesday pattern. I just wish they had announced something for Studios or AK. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting AK to have extended hours, but I thought Studios would.

How far in advance will they announce the EMH? April ‘22 trip booked at GF and of course we’ve made Park ressies. We have to decide on a Park for a particular day way in advance but we don’t have the info as to which Park will have EMH during the same time period. We stopped spending on Park Hoppers years ago and now focus on 1 park per day. Am I missing something?

I was super excited for this when it was first announced but disappointed in the lack of HS nights. This perk for MK and Epcot might be worth it once Tron and Guardians are open but right now, meh.
