Hi everyone! I've read a lot about express walk-off and I always read stuff like "you may disembark starting at around 7am." My question is, is there a time limit as to when is the latest time one can disembark? We would like to take our bags ourselves, because I don't think I'll have them ready before at 10pm, but we don't want to leave the ship so early.
Thank you!

Sorry it's been a few hours and no one has answered your question. My guess there is no time limit. What are they going to say when you are getting off sorry your too late you have to many bags your going to have to stay on and do another cruise. Itcan be hectic getting off with a lot of bags and a crowd.

I think you have to be off the ship by 9.15 am (& out of your room by 8). You don't have to leave immediately at 7.

If you have early seating for dinner, then your breakfast on the last morning will be 6:45 AM in the dining room you were in the night before. If you had second seating, breakfast will be at 8:00 AM in the dining room you had the night before. Or you could choose to eat at the buffet in Cabanas.
Anyway, you choose, you will need to be off the ship no later than 9:15 AM and out of your cabin by 8:00 AM

Can we do the MDR breakfast if we have Express Walk-Off? I read on the boards that we could not.

You can. We've done that. We've also eaten at Cabanas at breakfast.

Yes. The thing about Express Walk off is that you have your luggage with you and are handling it yourself. You can leave it right at the entrance of the MDR (many people do this) and then grab it when you are done breakfast and leave the ship.

In theory, Express Walkoff (where you transport your own bags off the ship) is available first thing (when the ship is cleared for embarktion and it's before anyone else debarks. They really don't like it when there are many people trying to manage bags off the ship and down the elevators in the midst of all the people who don't have all that extra baggage to manage. It's a real mess getting off, anyway. Adding people pulling large suitcases behind them through the masses just makes things tense for everyone.

That being said, I can't recall what our recent cruise debarkation info sheet said about time frame for Express Walkoff. I'm just back home from our trip and I'll try to dig it up in the next day or two.

I've never been the last one off but I've had the later breakfast at the MDR then went to guest services then we were sitting in the chairs in the lobby because I was trying to add a suitcase on to my parents flight on my cellphone because they bought too many souvenirs and I was having trouble and there were still a fair number of people milling around and then you notice there's only a couple other families. And there is definitely a "we better go" vibe and people asking if there's anything you need help with. I eventually got that darn checked bag added. On the upside most people have cleared out of the terminal. On the negative side they're all outside waiting for rental car shuttles so if that's where you're going too have fun.

ETA I just asked my husband and he thinks it was practically 10 by the time we got off

Thank you so much!
OK, here's what the debarkation page says about Express Walk-Off:

For Guests that would like to debark the ship and maximize their time in Port Canaveral, you will haw the option to take your luggage of the ship at your leisure once the ship has been cleared by the local authorities. You do not need to wait for your luggage to enter the terminal, and there is no need to claim it inside the terminal building. For those that wish to take advantage of Express Walk-Off, please note that no assistance with luggage is provided by onboard crew or shoreside representatives. We ask that you meet in the Lobby Atrium, Deck 3, Midship with ALL of your luggage at 7:30 am, where you may wait comfortably until the ship is cleared by local authorities.

So, they do ask you to meet early (7:30) do Express Walk-Off, but do not say you must be in the first group (like on some other cruise lines). It appears you can debark with your luggage at anytime after that.

DCL prefers everyone off the ship by 9:00-9:30 at the latest, but many times the last person doesn't make it until closer to 10.

During our first cruise on the Magic (January 2016), we had the late breakfast in the MDR, and just brought our 2 suitcases with us. We were probably among the last 100 or so people off the ship. So no, there's no special time limit for those who carry their own bags off the ship.

However, on our next cruise on the Fantasy, we set our luggage out the night before, & much preferred that method to dragging our suitcases with us to breakfast.

An option to consider, which we did one of our cruises...

We got all but one of our "checked bags" ready for the 10 pm night before. That left us with our carryons and one "checked bag" for the next morning, which was quite handleable. We did the normal assigned breakfast [late for us] and then off the ship. We rescued our checked bags, then customs and to the bus.

This gave us a good balance between "our bags won't be ready" (we could get most of them ready by planning and rearranging) and having to haul everything ourselves.

We put two bags out the night before but also keep a small roller bag with us. DH has a ECV so we can't manage
too many bags. We get a porter to get us to the busses to get to our WDW resort.
