Our first trip to Universal is coming up in April and my family is very excited!:goodvibes
We have been to Orlando twice in the past 4 years but never out of the WDW bubble:sad2:

I have a question regarding the Express Plus Pass. I purchased a great package deal through the Worldquest Orlando website which included our Universal tickets for 3 days.
However, I didn't actually receive tickets...just a voucher from the "Reverve Orlando" website with a number to exchange for tickets at the gate when we arrive on our first day.

If I want to buy the Express Plus Pass for two of our days can I still do so through the USO website even though I won't actually the theme park tickets until we get there?
I know the exact two dates we plan on upgrading to the Express Pass. Do I actually have to have our theme park tickets first before I can buy the Express Pass? In other words, do I have to wait till that day to upgrade?
I understand that the Express Pass is limited availability
Sorry, once again we are first timers and a little confused:confused3

I'm sure I'll have more newbie questions over the next few months:thumbsup2

depending on the dates in April you will be at universal, you might want to wait and buy the express passes once you are in the park.

if you start early and do many things, you might not need the express passes.
if it is crowded and long lines once you do arrive, buy the passes at guest services or at the main merch stores in each park.

the express passes are for the date you pick them.
they are non refundable.

if it rains on the day you are in the park, that usually clears out the crowds.
if you stay away from the weekends, you might miss some crowds.

to answer your other question, try the online UO ticket purchase section.
put in the date and park you want to buy the epp's for.

if it takes it without purchasing a day ticket, then you know you can buy the epp.

it really would depend on the date/s you will be in the park before i would tell you to buy the epp's in advance.

if you are going during easter, i would think there would be crowds as it would still be spring break time.

if you are going the last week of april, wait and buy the epp's when you are at the park.

Simply put...you should wait until you arrive to purchase EPs.

I agree with the others. When I went in May I purchased the express pass for one day ahead of time and didn't need it, it was a waste of money. Plus Universal has lots of single rider lines when they are crowded, so even if it's busy if you don't mind being separated there are ways around the crowds (plus they charge a lot for express for their busiest times).

I just went again this week and had no trouble getting on rides, easier than in May.

Tnx evreyone!!
I will probably wait then to purchase them at the gate. I really want them because my daughter wont go on the big thrill rides and my wife and I would like to take turns riding with our son without the long waits twice twice. I understand there are some rides not included in the EP. Do you know which ones for both parks?

use the child swap program.
you can take turns doing the rides without having to wait in line again.
your son will be able to do double rides.
he can reride with the other parent.

ep not valid for FJ, Rip ride rocket, P flyers and one more which i have suddenly forgotten............
