Im probably going to get express passes with my tickets and i noticed it says you can only use it once on each ride.. how do they know how many times you use it on each ride? do they mark the pass somehow or something?

The scan th ticket with a handheld scanner.:thumbsup2

ok, i was just wondering how they would stop people from going more than once.. thanks.

When we used the xpress pass no one scanned the ticket. They just looked and waved us thru. We went on each ride multiple times, just not back to back. I know they are supposed to scan them but you might get lucky.

Actually now that I think about it our tickets needed to be marked not scanned. Did they change that or are there different types?

They are scanned with handheld scanners now, I have noticed this in the past year. Maybe on slower days they might wave you through but I have seen people refuse since the scanner said they already rode that ride. The hotel key islooked at to verify dates and hotel of stay, then the TM has a button onthe scanner for each hotel. They basically just press the button for however many people are in your group after seeing everyones room key.

When we were there last week crowds were light to moderate. They were looking at the hotel keys and checking dates and scanning Express Passes every time we went to the Express lines.

I noticed that some rides are excluded from express pass? Does anyone know which rides?

We'll be at Royal Pacific next Mardi Gras... fotl pass here we come!!! :thumbsup2

Since they've been scanning pretty regularly, it has become a spectator sport for DH and I to count the number of people with purchased EPs pitching a fit because they try to go through again and can't reuse them. Either stay on site or get outta my way!

That is too funny!

I am very glad they check because we upgraded to that VIP pass just so we would have unlimited use. The once per ride daily express pass would have been cheaper!!!! For us, it is only worth it if it is unlimited.

Exactly! And when they are busy arguing their case, we flash our hotel cards, and off we go!:)

When we went in December, the only rides that actually looked at our hotel key were the ones in Suess Landing.

Either pay for the Vip pass or stay onsite for FOTL, that's how we look at it, it's not Disney. One of the reasons we pay the price to stay onsite is for FOTL so we are actually paying for it, but it's well worth it.:thumbsup2
