Express Pass Labour Day Weekend

Hi Guys,

I have planned to take a vacation to Universal from September 3rd to the 10th. I have purchased the 3-park unlimited passes and am planning on staying at Cabana Bay (the deluxe on-sites are out of the question due to budget constraints - darn Canadian dollar lol).

My question is if anyone thinks I need the Express Passes during this time. The first couple of days are during Labour day weekend which I imagine can get quite busy (reports from anyone who has gone during Labour day weekend would be appreciated).

I'm staying at Cabana Bay from the 4-13th with my niece. I will have 7 days for the Universal parks, unless I am able to upgrade my ticket to an AP. I haven't been to US since 1999, so I can't help with how busy it will be.

I've done the parks around the Labor Day period and did not find the crowds bad

Probably one of the lesser holidays that attracts large crowds

We will be there for a short stay Sept 6-9 (In the parks the 7th, 8th, and 9th.) on our way to a Disney ship.
We're also wondering the same thing. We are trying to decide if we should get EP or move from our planned stay at Cabana Bay and instead stay at RPR so we can have the EP included. The other kicker is that there are 7 of us, so upgrades in tickets or hotel = $$$ !!
