Express Pass in February

Me, DH, DS and DD are planning on going to Orlando February 8 - 18, 07. Planning on going to Universal Studios and Island of Adventure on Feb. 16th. We have only one day for both parks, do you think we should get express pass for one or both parks, is it necessary at all? If it is recommended to get it for one park, which park would you get it for, my children are 13 & 17?

The 16th is the Friday before President's Day weekend. I think you will still be fine without an express pass but the rest of the weekend will be busy because schools are out and some college breaks begin. I would recommend a pass for the 17th thru 19th should your plans change.

February is one of the best times to visit.

You won't need the passes. Just show up early. Visit IOA first so you can do the coasters. A lap around IOA will take you 2-3 hours. Then you'll eat lunch and head over to USF. You won't see every show, but you can do the main rides which would be The Mummy, MIB, ET, Jaws and a few more before you run out of time or get tired.

Thanks for the advice. So in order to do all of both parks in Feb. I would still need 2 days, would it be any faster with express pass or not? We are really trying to do both parks in one day, but could change to 2 if needed. Also do you recommend the meal deal and sipper cup deal, does anyone know the prices in the parks for these or are they cheaper on-line? Thanks.

I think you'll be able to hit the major highlights of both parks in one day and without passes if you go on or before Friday the 16th...no problem. Half day for IOA and half day for USO. You may still not need passes on the 17th or 18th but I can't say for sure as it will be a much busier weekend because of the three day holiday.
