If you end up not needing it they are non refundable and date specific. Wait until you are in the park to see if you need them at all.

Do you mean short on time to tour the parks? If so, you'll still be ok waiting until day of. But, it depends on when you are coming. If something peak like holidays then just buy ahead. If you aren't sure if it'll be busy/ you'll need EPs, then wait to see what lines are like.

If the kids are out of school, then attendance is higher and probably easier with express pass. If the kids are in school, crowds tend to be lower (except around HHN).

If I'm staying at one of the US hotels that offers express pass and I buy a 2 day park to park ticket, do I get express pass for both days? For example, if I book a Sat night at Royal Pacific and I arrive noon on Sat, check in and head to the parks, can I use express pass on Sat and Sun?
