We just purchased Express passes for our one day visit to both IOA and the Studios this Decemeber.

While reading the fine print, it stated that in addition to not applying to forbidden journey and rip ride rockit (this I already knew from my research here) it also stated that we wouldn't be able to use it to be seated in the front of certain rides (i.e Hulk & The Mummy). In all my reasearch i never came across this, and it really bummed us out because we are hardcore front row people for roller coasters.

Does Universal really enforce this? We won't be able to sit front row when we use the express pass? Please share your experiences and advice. Thanks!

You will not be in the front row of any attraction unless you wait in the front row line. Too many people like to ride in the front row on the coasters to allow EP users to go back for repeat front row rides. You will have to decide if you want to use the EP for the coasters and not ride in the front or wait for the front row.

That is kinda weird. On the Mummy you can definitely ride in the front row if that is where the TM puts you. The express pass people have their own loading area where the TM can put you in any of the four rows of four. There is no dedicated front row line. On Hulk, you can get in the front row line after you merge from the expresss pass line into the normal line.

There is no ride anymore for which express pass makes it impossible to ride in the front row. Hulk used to be that way.

Yeah, it just means you can't bypass the front row line like you do the rest of the line using an express pass. If you'd like to wait for the front row, you can do that.

The Mummy is real easy, just ask the TM and they will have you step aside and wait until the next cart.:thumbsup2

Well, that's good news about the Mummy

So what do I have to do regarding Hulk and Dueling Dragons? I can't get on the express pass line and just ask the TM to be seated front row?

On Dragon Challenge, you can pick which row you want to sit in. Hulk and DC have separate lines when you get near the end of the queue for the front row. It's easy to spot.
