ExpoTV Users Stop In....

Has anyone been able to upload today 1/2/08 ? I am new to Expo...and very frustrated. I know how to upload (send pictures to walgreens).... but the upload screen on Expo just sits there...

Your video is now uploading, please be patient...

Never anything else! I have switched to Firefox and I am on a PC. My video is 35MB.

I am done for now...I'll try later!

:)

I agree with Dabute. Try for smaller files. I have uploaded 6 today and they all got approved. Didn't take long to upload, either.

Thanks! It did eventually go thru... I will work on the size issue. I was able to get three in after all the hassle of the first one! At least I now know what to expect!

THANKS!!!

:thumbsup2

I have one more question...
I know that in order for you to get paid for the item that you are reviewing, it must be in their data base. I was wondering how to tell if a certain item is in their data base. Someone told me that you could go in and act like you were going to upload a video and then do a search to see if it's there or not. But my problem is this...Since I'm having a problem getting signed up, and I have to wait to hear back from Expo, I wanted to go ahead and get a head start on getting my vidoes done. But I want to make sure that what I'm going to review is in their data base. Can anyone tell me if I can find this info?
Thanks!

You won't be able to do a mock upload unless you are signed in. :sad2:
They should get back to you real soon. Mine was instant.

Well, I was finally able to get signed up! Now I'm ready to make those videos. If you want to add me to your friends, I'm MissDut0829!

I am sooooo excited! I just had one of my reviews published...FINALLY!
I have spent all day trying to do reviews and it has been so frustrating. I first tried using my camcorder, but I couldn't get the files small enough to upload, so I had to use my digital camera. I was finally able to get a review for "Delta Farce" uploaded, but they denied it for poor lighting. I re-did it again and uploaded it, and it's still pending. In the mean time, I did some more reviews and am working on getting all of them uploaded. The first was "Underdog", and it was approved almost immediately! Yeah!
Thanks to all of you who have added me as friends!

Expo is driving me crazy tonight! I did a review on Pizza Hut - which I did one last month, too and they denied it b/c I've already reviewed the chain. But I think some here have said they did more than one item at some chains.

THen I uploaded a DVD review - Reign over me. They denied saying I did not include a shot of the disc, which I did. So I added a 2nd shot of the disc and re uploaded. They denied it again, saying they can not verify that I own it.:sad2:

Uh-oh...sounds like you're having a hard time with Expo, Miz Diz!

I have a quick question for y'all...I have been able to successfully upload 6 DVD reviews so far. And one of them has been viewed 5 times, earning me $.5. So, when I go to my earnings tab, it shows a total of $.5 in the Pay-Per-Play column, and $30.00 in the Bonus Payment column. I was thinking that it was $10.00 per review for the DVD's but it looks like only $5. I'm not complaining by any means, because I'll take what I can get, but I just wanted to verify with y'all. I just thought that it was weird that the earnings are listed as Bonus Payments instead of listing the title of the DVD. Can anyone help me out with this?

I thought travel destinations were only $10 and everything else is $2 or 5. I could be wrong.

OK I really want to do Expo - have known about it for awhile. My problem is that we have a DVD camcorder and I do not know how to get the videos on my computer without a huge hassle.

Does anyone use their digital cameras or is the quality of a digital camera not good enough for Expo?

My mom did just get a video camera with a hard drive so I could borrow hers if I had too I guess.

I tried to use my camcorder at first since it was a lot easier, but the files were too large, so now I use my digital camera, and haven't had any problems so far.

I was thinking that they were doing a promotion for January for $10 on the DVD reviews...Hpefully someone can confirm.

The January promotion I saw was the same as December pretty much. As far as I know DVD's are $5 and even thought travel reviews went down to $5. Very few things are still $10 and most $2.

I use a very nice digital camera.

After seeing another Dis'er managed to get more than one review from a restaurant, I tried and was turned down also. It is in their TOS that you can only review a restaurant one time, but I guess someone let it slip or those were done before the one-time rule was implemented.

I uploaded Reign Over Me this morning and they finally approved it. I guess it depends on who is doing the reviewing.

I use my Kodak Easy Share digital camera and have no troubles. I did find a free software to compress files (sometimes if I do a really long video they are too big) from fxbear or something like that.

DVDs are $5 and travel even dropped. Do your appliances, the large ones, those are $10 as well as laptops, digital cameras, etc.
