Explosion

Did anyone hear or see a big explosion near Epcot on Wednesday night? My niece and her friends were returning from the bar at the Yacht and Beach Club at about 10:45 p.m. and said they heard a large boom and saw a fireball. I thought it might have had something to do with Illuminations, but it was well after Illuminations was over. We were courious as to what it might have been.

It was probably the propane blow off.

There is a propane blow off from the tourch used at the end of Illusions every night. Technical details are not my strong point, but my understanding is that propane remains after they do the cut off of the flame. Sometime after the park is closed they relight the torch to burn off the propane in the torch. Sometimes it is very small and not very noticeable and sometimes BOOM!

I am jealous. I have always wanted to see this and the one night I stayed it was tiny! LOL!

Thanks for the info, and great movie clip Carol. They said they saw a fireball that was higher than the trees and this must have been what it was! Thanks again.
