Exploreres Hotel to Disneyland

It is, but it would be quite a long walk.

No need to though, as there are free shuttle buses operating daily :thumbsup2

You can walk, it takes about 25-30 minutes.

When I did it before when having a nosy around those hotels, I think we went past the sequoia lodge and then carried on along the river rather than using the road. But this was 12 years ago when they first opened so my memory might be failing me slightly! :lmao:

I believe Ware Bears has done it before, so should be able to tell you more about the best route to take.

The most pleasant way to walk is through the Village then go past Hotel New York and Cheyenne following the river then cross the bridge to cut through the Santa Fe coming out by the garage. Then it's just a short walk down the road (left) to the roundabout and across to the 'near the magic' hotels.

We've also gone all the way by the road (same route as buses) but that's really boring and no quicker so wouldn't recommend it.

Elaine - is this the same route to the Dream Castle?? I really love watching the Village come to life in the morning so was thinking of walking it.

Thanks Elaine.:goodvibes

How long would you say is the walk from the Santa Fe is as I have a dodgy foot so trying to weigh up whether I would be pushing my luck walking that far.

The walk from the Santa Fe to Cafe Mickey at the start of the Village is around 10 minutes once you are on the pathway over the bridge between the Santa Fe and Cheyenne hotels :). From the Santa Fe bridge coming back from the Village you'd go up through the Santa Fe hotel blocks, past the road entrance, and turn left past the filling station. The Dream Castle is next to the Explorers hotel in the row of 4 hotels, so I'd say another 10-15 minutes from the Santa Fe to walk to the Dream Castle.

aliscrapper, if you've got a dodgy foot I wouldn't recommend you walk it - you do enough walking round the parks as it is and you don't want to cause yourself problems for the next day.

Or you could get the Disney bus to the Santa Fe and then walk from there - that would cut the walk more or less in half.

Thanks Elaine - I think you are right - especially as its the following day after I've pushed my dodgy foot too far that it flares up.

The thing I'm going to most miss about staying off site for the first time is watching the Disney Village come to life in the morning; but maybe we could walk to the New York and the Sequoia and have our photo's taken with the characters in the morning.
