Explain the process for EMH Cali adventure

We are debating doing two nights at the grand to get EMH at CA. Explain it to me like I’m 5.

When we go to the gate, do I just show them our room key and then we all scan our tickets? Or do they swipe the room key and that shows them our tickets?

Which entrance is best?

How do they know who is suppose to have EMH or not? ( just thinking about crowds)

You show your room key, scan your ticket, enter the park. Anyone with a valid room key from a Disneyland resort hotel gets EMH.

I don’t know which entrance is best I’ve only ever used the main one. But CA does not get as busy as DL as it’s only hotel guests no MM

For a two night stay you could get 3 EMHs . Check in early ,like 6:00 or 6:30am . They will give you room keys even though your
room won`t be ready until 3pm. Make sure everyone in your party gets a room key with their name on it, even the little ones.
I suggest using the main entrance for DCA for EMH. For a 8am gate opening the line at the DCA gate starts to form about 7am and by opening time it is pretty long. There are only 2 turnstiles there. Plus they main gate gets you closer to Carland. Any other time of the day the DCA entrance is great.

You may need to show all room keys plus admission ,sometimes showing just one room key for the group works but bring all just in case.

EMH for DCA is Sun, Mon, Wed, Fri, .....EMH for DL is Tue, Thur, Sat

I was told in November you no longer need a room key for everyone just 1 for the group. Of course I feel like that makes no sense as then random people can get in early with you. But they tried only giving us 1 key and front gate said it would work but we all had one as we all come and go as we please
