Explain Please!

I am new to the boards and I keep reading about this "magic" PIN or code that had the ability to get you great rates. First what do you even have to be signed up to in order to possibly get this special offer? We are going in September and I am trying to get things book way in advance...(don't like waiting till last minute.)

I will try to explain but I am no expert. Disney sometimes sends out postcards or emails with pin numbers or codes on them for discounts. They are ramdom and no one really know how you get on the list. It does help to register on Disney's website (I have registered on Disney, Family Fun everywhere disney is associated with and also checked boxes to have info/stuff sent from 3rd parties)

I believe what happended this week was that a pin code was going around but it should not have gotten to the public. So it was posted here and people started calling and getting the discount without getting an email or postcard.

When I called, on Monday I wanted a 2 bedroom at Wilderness Logde (the Villas). I was told there was not availablity but there was a SSR so I booked it. I then asked if a pin was attached to my name and he checked he said no but I could book with a XXX code. So I did I got 7 nights 6 day PH and Dining at SSR for $5100.

So that is what I know. Sorry if it is confusing and if anyone else can explain better plesae do so.

So, I could just call the Disney reservation line and see if I had a pin with my name? Or would they not tell me unless I was making the reservation first?

You may call and just ask. Most of the PIN CODE that are email or snail mailed are for certain dates only.

You can ask if you have a code attached even if you aren't booking. Some CM's have been booking without pin codes though. It just depends on the CM.
